Catalyst Cafe: Breakfast/Brunch of dreams

Catalyst Cafe is located on Grays Inn Road right by Chancery Lane Station. We visited on a Wednesday morning and oh wow it was super busy, the stream of people was never ending. It was super nice to see however that most business men/woman who were coming in for a takeaway morning coffee brought their own keep cups with them!

Catalyst opens at 8am and even then it was busy for people wanting to sit in to eat/drink. It also seemed lots of people arrived early to get a seat and then work from the cafe for the morning/day. We loved how bright and airy the cafe was, and we can see why people would enjoy working from the cafe.

We started with iced coffees of course which was super strong and of course made with their own coffee beans. You can buy these beans in store as well!

Rach went for the iced latte and Annie had an Iced Americano! We loved the glasses that they were served in!

For food, Rach went for the pancakes (without the candied almonds). The pancakes were the biggest we have ever seen and were super fluffy! Topped with poached blackberries, creme fraiche and coffee maple syrup – I just wish they came with more coffee maple syrup!

Annie went for the Avo Baba Ganoush, which was sourdough bread, roasted peppers and coffee sriacha – it was huge! Also this dish was vegan so perfect for all our vegan followers! It was also so so delicious and we honestly couldn’t recommend this dish enough!

The portion sizes at Catalyst Cafe are HUGE! Whilst we were there we saw a number of other dishes being served and they were also massive! So it is definitely great value for money!

The atmosphere at Catalyst Cafe was fab, such gorgeous interiors and plenty of seating. The staff were super friendly as well which is always a bonus and made us feel so welcome.

You can reserve tables online and we highly recommend you do as if a standard Wednesday morning is anything to go by then we imagine it can get super busy!

Also just to note that Catalyst Cafe is not open at the weekends so you’ll have to visit on a weekday to sample their incredible food and coffee!
