Les Filles by LLS Cafe

We recently visited Les Filles by LLS Cafe and had the most incredible meal! We found LLS Cafe on the Nutrifix app, they are a big fan of LLS Cafe and so are we! Becca the nutritionist at Nutrifix has quoted some of the health benefits of the dishes we chose which you can find throughout our post!

Les Filles was super cute and we fell in love with the place as soon as we entered! We got to sit at the window seat which in our eyes was the best seat in the house!

They also have LLS branches at Hampstead, Lancaster Gate & Waterloo. The Craven Terrance branch near waterloo has only recently opened! We went to the branch in Paddington and couldn’t recommend it enough!

We both opted for the waffles, but as Rach is a bit fussy she omitted the eggs and had hers with avocado and smoked salmon. Annie enjoyed the 2 poached eggs with hers and also added some smoked salmon as well!

If you’re looking for something savoury, the sweet potato waffles with eggs, avocado and smoked salmon is a great choice. Packed with protein, heart-healthy fats and carbohydrates making this a nutritionally balanced meal. This would be a great post-workout meal to replenish depleted stores and help to rebuild muscle fibers.

Another great option for savoury (which we both sampled) and if you’re looking for a veggie option is the halloumi with roasted veg with sourdough, this meal is packed with protein, fats, various vitamins and minerals, as well as fibre. This combination will satisfy you and keep you feeling full until your next meal. We loved the harissa sauce it came with it tasted oriental and had SO much flavour and definitely made the dish!

We both shared the pancakes after our savoury meal. If you’re after something sweet, the buckwheat pancakes will definitely satisfy you. With pancakes made using buckwheat flour, these are fibre-packed ensuring to keep you fuller for longer as well as contributing to good gut health. Topped with a delicious combination of coconut cream, homemade chia jam, fresh fruits and date syrup, providing sweetness as well as an array of vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants.

These pancakes are also gluten free and vegan friendly. You are given 3 pancakes and a very generous amount of toppings, the chia jam was incredible and we loved it! It also went really well with the coconut cream, we aren’t usually fans of coconut yoghurt but oh my the cream was yum and complimented the pancakes perfectly.

We also had this all washed down with a delicious coffee and juice/smoothie. There is such a good choice of drinks that we had to go for 2 each.

Rach went for the cappuccino which was served in the cutest mug & coaster and Annie and Americano, again served in a very photogenic cup!

Rach went for a juice and she prefers a juice to a smoothie, she went for ? This was incredibly refreshing and the addition of ginger was not too overpowering (which it often can be). Annie had a smoothie which was super thick and incredible, made with almond milk and lots of berries!

We had such a lovely afternoon and we honestly cannot recommend this place enough! We will definitely be returning soon and we are already so excited about it!

Learning a new Language

It’s weird because when we were at school we both HATED languages and detested having to take it for GSCE, needless to say we both never carried languages onto A-Levels!

However now we are both a little older, we kinda regret not persevering with languages and get a little jealous when we hear people that can speak more than one language. It really is such a great skill to have, its can improve job prospects, is a great hobby and makes life a little easier when travelling!

Language

We came across Listen and Learn as we both thought we would love to learn a new language. The great thing about Listen and Learn is that you can do an intense course to learn French, Spanish, English, German, Portugese, Italian, Manderin Chinese, Arabic and a handful of others. Sessions can take place on the day of your choosing (even weekends, which is perfect for us as we work!) and whenever you want, whether it be morning, afternoon or evening.

If circumstances arise where your home or office is not available, the classes can be held at your trainer’s office. Resources for the lesson are provided for you which is great for us too as we don’t have a printer!

Or you can do the LL Survival Language training which is a super quick course before you go on vacation! In 14 hours you will have the skills you need to ensure you have no trouble communicating in typical situations whilst on holiday or making genera chit-chat. You also get a phrase book to help you when you arrive!

Language

There are so many websites that will help you to learn another language! We were really impressed when we were having a browse on google! Mango languages looked great as did Future Learn!

So why not pick up a new hobby today and make sure you don’t get caught short whilst travelling! You will also be able to impress your friends/family/bf/gf with you new found skill too! Head to Listen and Learn to discover more!

Eat Genesis Vegan Restaurant Review

Eat Genesis is located on Commercial Street in Shoreditch, pretty close to Liverpool Street Station so super convenient if you work in the city or you are in Shoreditch. Eat Genesis is 100% plant based and also organic!

Eat Genesis is very hip and trendy which we guess is expected when located so close to hip and trendy shoreditch! It’s actually a vegan restaurant but with a crazy menu serving burgers, nachos, milkshakes etc you would never know it was vegan!

The interior is super pink, what most people know as millennial pink. We loved the pink vibes and the seats by the window at the front are also millennial pink- they are definitely the best seats in the house, especially for those insta pics! Luckily we were shown to our table and we were given one of these tables!

To order your food you head to the counter, they will give you a buzzer and when your food is really the waitresses will bring it to you. We aren’t actually too sure how the buzzer works entirely as ours didn’t actually buzz, maybe they are magic buzzers, hehe!

We ate vegan food a couple of weeks ago and we were not the greatest fans so we were a little nervous with what to order, we decided to share our food (again!) so that we could try a bit of everything!

We both ordered the same drink which was a Lo Bros Apple Cider Vinegar tonic with elderflower. We had not tried this flavour before and we absolutely loved it!

We first started off by sharing the panko avocado soft taco, the flavours of these were delicious especially the beans and we loved trying fried avocado for the first time! Once sampling this we knew we were in for a treat as it was very tasty!

For main we decided to share 2 salads the first one was a kale caesar, which came with generous slices of avocado and the most delicious (vegan) caesar dressing.

We also went a bit rogue and tried the Thai papaya and mango salad, this was super different but also super yummy! It tasted like summer in a bowl and the mango, oh my was delicious! It was quite spicy though so if you don’t like a bit of a kick then this might not be the dish for you.

We also had a bowl of the fries which came with tomato sauce and were some of the tastiest fries we have sampled! They are cooked in avocado oil and are gluten free we cannot recommend these fries enough, if you visit you have to try them!

After looking at the burgers we wish we had gone for a salad to share and a burger to share as they looked EPIC! Guess we will have to return to try the burgers!

There was further seating downstairs which is also where the toilet are located. As this seating was down in the basement it was quite dark down there so we were glad we sat upstairs! The toilets were pretty and pink as you can imagine!

We really enjoyed our time at Eat Genesis and if you fancy some vegan junk food we would 100% recommend you visiting!

The importance of good Broadband

It’s weird writing this post as it makes us feel like proper adults! However we have kinda started a series about moving house and finding the perfect broadband is certainly important for millennials like us!

When moving into my new house we had to find a new broadband provider and had to make sure it met all our needs. Not only do people demand more and more data but also want their broadband speed to be super quick, but also stretch all around the house too! There are just so many factors to consider!

For us, epic broadband is important because we have to use the internet an awful lot as being influencers and all that jazz! We don’t want uploading a new vlog to our YouTube channel to take 3 days! We also use the Internet to write our blog posts, edit our pictures and keep up to date with social media, be in if we are in the kitchen, living room or bedroom on the 2nd floor of the house!

In addition I live with 3 other girls so there are 4 of us trying to use the broadband at the same time. To make matters worse (or better!) two of us work from home everyday, therefore we really do need our broadband to be reliable.

We found our broadband using a comparison broadband provider site, and got the most amazing deal. It came with the broadband and also a TV package, and in fact whilst writing this post I am currently catching up on TV I missed last night due to a blog event!

We didn’t realise there were 14 broadband providers in the UK until we started doing our research! Choosing broadband can be confusing especially if it is the first time you are doing it! Cable U.K. helped break the process down for us and gave us some top tips! We especially liked the postcode checker! Imagine choosing a broadband and then finding out it doesn’t work very well in your area!

You can also check reviews on all the major UK broadband providers so we were able to read them all before making a decision. There is lots of choice on the comparison site and some broadband providers that we haven’t heard of which gave us lots of choice! The star rating is super helpful too so its quick and easy to see whats good and what isn’t!

So if you are moving house or feel like you’re broadband isn’t good enough head to a broadband providers site to find the perfect broadband for you! Gone are the days when you have to deal with bad Broadband!

Esquared Fitness App

We have been using Esquared now for quite some time! When we were first introduced to the app it was all very new to us as we had never really booked our classes via an app before.

Esquared

Esquared got in contact with us last year and asked if we would like some credit to try the app and it’s safe to say we haven’t looked back since. We thought we would write a few of our favourite workout spots from the app on a blog post, go and give them a try!

Esquared fitness app

Esquared make it so easy to book a class, you create an account online or via the app (you get sent a text to verify your mobile number) add our code TBRITS16536 for £10 off your class and hey presto its time to start booking. You then can search via list or map view and also filter by class type, barre, boxing, HIIT etc. We love the map view as quite often we are out and about, so we search for classes on the map close to where we will be that day. The flexibility makes working out so much easier, but also way more fun as you can try out different gyms. We don’t really filter by class type as we are open to all and like to discover new classes and gyms!

KXU

KXU NOK OUT was the first class we booked with esquared and oh my gosh it was amazing! Firstly the studios are just incredible and secondly the instructor was really encouraging. It was a boxing class and there were various levels in the class but she made sure she spent time with everyone which was great to see! They have other classes here including HIIT & Run, Meta KX, Yoga and Cycle.

Price: £26
Time: 45mins – 75 mins

Sweat IT

This is probably Annie’s favourite class of ALL time, Annie took Rach and she’s become hooked too! We both absolutely love to run and this class involves a lot of treadmill running. The class is a combination of running and HIIT, each day the floor work changes to be a different part of the body and it sure does what it says in the name!

Esquared fitness app

Esquared fitness app

The instructors are always so passionate about the class and we are not going to lie it is a haaaard session so we ready to feel the burn!

Oh and they also do a great post workout shake! They are plastic free and also have metal water bottles you can borrow for the class.

Price: £20
Time: these session vary between 40-60 minutes so check when you are booking

Project Fit

I have only recently tried Project Fit as it is very close to my (Annie) new office. The first class I booked was called RUNNING which at the time of booking (because I didn’t read the details) I didn’t realise was purely just a treadmill running class- but I was over the moon when I found out. Half the class were doing A HIIT workout but in the app you have to book STRENGTH session. I also did the 50/50 class which is where you do both the running and Resistance workout, it was a great workout even though the music had broken the instructor kept us going with her energy.

Price: £20
Time: 45 Mins

Fitness Fusions

This is a boutique studio based in Clapham Common. If I (Rachel) hadn’t used Esquared I would never have tried a reformer pilates class. Thanks to the app and a free class I gave reformer and go and haven’t looked back. I have become addicted to reformer and now go at least once a week!

The teachers at Fitness Fusions are great and tailor all the classes to your needs and they are particularly great with newbies, being super supportive and ensuring your technique is correct and not injuring yourself.

Price: £23
Time: 1 hour

Define London

I (Rach) prefer more ballet based classes with toning so Define London suits me perfectly. I love their Barre classes in the morning but also their express barre at lunchtime. The class is only 30 minutes but you work extremely hard and the class flies by! I have also been to a dance class here which was super super fun!

Express Barre – £12 (30 mins)
Barre – £20 (45 mins)

Victus Soul

This studio has recently been added to the app and we could NOT be happier as we love this place! There is a choice of 2 classes, HIIT & Box or HIIT & Run – we have done both and love them equally it just depends what ya fancy!

Price – £21
Time -1 hour

Let us know any classes that we should try, we love finding new gyms to visit and classes to sample!

Farmstand Breakfast Review

Farmstand was founded in Covent Garden in 2016, they have an all day menu which is based on the diet that the founder has been following since he was diagnosed with cancer. He believes it was vital in improving his health. Farmstand source the best ingredients seasonally and offer a plant-powered menu from scratch.

Farmstand breakfast

Farmstand sell 80% plant based, 5% sustainable fish and 15% ethical meat they are also dairy free, added sugar and artificial ingredients free.

Farmstand breakfast

We visited one Saturday morning at around 10AM, the restaurant was quiet but it did start to get a little busier by the time we left. Unfortunately the coffee machine was out of order which did put a couple of customers off. This didn’t actually bother us though as they were still serving filter coffee which tasted absolutely delicious.

We also ordered a couple more drinks, Rach went for a green juice (of course) it was the easy being green Farmstand juice which was so nice and really refreshing. Annie ordered a ginger kombucha by L.A brewery that was so delicious and the ginger flavour was incredible!

Farmstand was like a little jungle, there were plants everywhere which we absolutely LOVED!

Rach ordered toasted sourdough & Avocado which cost £3.50. The smashed avocado was really tasty and served on the side so you could add as little of as much as you wanted! In fact as it was only 1 slice Rach had some left over!

Farmstead breakfast

Annie ordered the tomato salsa & soft boiled eggs on rye bread, which was absolutely delicious. The Rye bread was incredibly moist and they were very generous with the salsa. Hard boiled eggs are Annie’s favourite kind of egg so this was a nice treat as most places don’t have hard boiled eggs on the menu. This dish cost £3.25 which is cheaper than the Avocado on sourdough which really surprised us as we would have expected it to have been way more.

Farmstand breakfast

Farmstand is a great place to come for a coffee catch up, as there is lots of seating and the filter coffee that was had was delicious and strong, just how we like it!

We would love to return to try the lunch menu, where you get to pick a main and 2 sides, as it sounds yum! We also fancy trying the banana bread with compote as it looked and sounds delicious!

Farmstand breakfast

We went to the toilet before we left and downstairs there was a couple of people attending what looked like a knitting class! It looked so cute and would be the perfect activity if you like to knit!

The staff at Farmstand were really happy and all had smiles on their faces! Something we really appreciate when visiting restaurants.

So the next time you are in Covent Garden make sure you stop by Farmstand for a delicious meal that won’t break the bank!

Comptoir Libanais Review

Comptoir Libanais opened its doors back in 2008 the founder Tony wanted to create a restaurant and serve food that ensures its guests fell in love with the Middle East and its bold flavours. He still dreams that Middle Eastern food will be as popular as Italian food one day as he strongly believes food from the Middle East is the best in the world!

We visited Comptoir Libanais a couple of weekends ago whilst visiting Bath. We have both previously been to Comptoir Libanais before but for breakfast, this time we were visiting for lunch and we were so excited.

We arrived at around 1pm and the lovely waiter showed us to our table. The restaurant was buzzing and by the time we had ordered our food the staff had to turn customers away as they were at capacity.

We both ordered a drink Rach went for the homemade lemonade which she absolutely loved, it was really refreshing! Annie ordered a Diet Coke and we also asked for a jug of tap water.

To start we asked the waitress to recommend what we picked, we aren’t super fussy so we are more than happy to eat what the staff suggest! We ordered the meze platter, mezze salad (fattoush) and chicken wings. Oh my the sauce (pomegranate molasses) on the chicken wings was absolutely incredible, you have to order these!

The meze platter is great if you want a selection of different dips! We really enjoyed all of the dips but we could have done with a little bit more flat bread. We loved the you can have a large or small platter – we went for the small which was sufficient!

For main we ordered the grilled chicken salad. This was served with chicken, feta, pomegranate seeds, tomatoes, lettuce &  spring onions. The salad was so delicious and we were very happy that it was served with the pomegranate molasses dressing, we actually asked the waitress for a little bit more of the sauce and she as more than happy to bring some over for us.

We also opted for the mixed grill, which the waitress also recommended. This came with lamb kofta, chicken kofta and chicken taouk all served on delicious rice. If you love meat then this sure is the dish for you! We loved the vermicelli rice it was yum!

We didn’t have room for a dessert as we were absolutely stuffed and didn’t want to waste any food. Instead we both ordered a coffee, Rach had a cappuccino and Annie had an americano. The coffees were delicious and really strong, we definitely felt more awake after them!

Our waitress was so busy running around everywhere but she still managed to make time for us and check we were okay. She was also more than happy to help us with recommendations something we quite often ask for when visiting a restaurant.

We love the fact you can see the chefs prepare the food in Comptoir Libanais it really adds to the atmosphere. You can also see all of the fresh ingredients in the fridge and the brightly coloured pickles.

We honestly cannot recommend Comptoir Libanais enough, the food was absolutely incredible, there were so many delicious flavours and the quality of the food was great. We loved it so much that we have already booked a table in London to go back!

Camile Restaurant Review

Camile is a healthy authentic Thai restaurant serving delicious good quality Thai dishes. They first opened their doors in Belfast. Camile has since opened four branches in London one in Tooting Broadway, Clapham Common, Battersea & Bermondsey.

We visited the Clapham Common branch on Abbeville Road one Sunday afternoon. It was a lovely change tucking into a Thai instead of the more traditional roast dinner.

Camile Thai

The manager of the Camile restaurant in Clapham was incredibly welcoming and made us feel super welcome. There were a couple of other customers in the restaurant but on the whole it was fairly quiet.

To start we ordered the shareable Tiffin Box for two (which is a customers favourite). We seem to be ordering sharing platters more and more recently but it just means we get to try a lot more in one go and not order lots of dishes and waste food.

Camile Thai

On the Camile sharing platter there was four spring rolls. Two of the spring rolls were vegetarian and the other two were meat there was also chicken satay which was served with a delicious peanut dipping sauce that we absolutely loved. We also tucked into some chicken wings as well which were full of flavour. We loved this starter and really cannot recommend it enough if you visit Camile.

For the main course we ordered two curries the first one was a Chicken Massaman which is a mild and rich curry with potato, onion and crispy shallots. We absolutely loved this curry and we really enjoyed the potatoes as we haven’t had a Thai curry with potato in it before.

The second curry we ordered was a Red Chicken Curry with green beans, squash, onion and red chilli. This one was slightly hotter due to the chilli but was incredible and once again bursting with flavour.

Camille Thai

We also had a side of brown rice which we absolutely loved and since then have been ordering brown rice instead of sticky rice.

The portion sizes of both the curries was incredibly generous, we couldn’t finish what was on our plates so we kindly asked them if we could take the rest away. Rach enjoyed the left overs the next day for her dinner!

Camile Thai

Something that we particularly loved at Camile was the fact the food wasn’t oily and greasy. It really did taste like a curry you would cook at home but obviously a thousand times better!

Camile are planning on opening more restaurants in London very soon and hopefully some a little more central, so keep your eyes peeled! We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade fortnight takes places each year for 2 weeks of the year, this year it is the 25th February to the 10th March. Thousands of individuals and companies across the U.K. come together to celebrate the individuals who grow our food. These individuals often live in some of the poorest countries in the world.

This year Fairtrade fortnight is focusing on people, but in particular women. The women who grow the cocoa in chocolate we love and eat almost every single day.

A cocoa farmer earns around 74p a day, but actually they need around £1.86 to achieve a living income. This is why Fairtrade are campaigning for a living income to become a reality. Living income isn’t a luxury is it a human right, it means these ladies would have enough money to feed their families, buy medicine when they need it and send their kids to school.

So you might be wondering how you can help? Well you can: sign a petition, host an event, fundraise for Fairtrade, share on social media making sure you #shedeserves.

We believe Fairtrade fortnight is so important and that is why we are getting involved. Not only are we here to spread awareness about #shedeserves but we also want to share with you so many other incredible Fairtrade brands.

Gusto Organic

Gusto Organic was one of the first natural energy drinks to hit the world market in the late 80’s. In 2017 Gusto Organic drinks were voted number 1 ethical cola in the UK. There are several flavours available including; Real Cola, Naturally Slim Cola, Lemon Energy, Real Cherry Cola, Fiery Ginger with Chipotle and Sicilian Blood Orange. You can find Gusto Organic Drinks in over 10 different countries from Holland to Japan and they are in over 200 UK stockists.

These went down an absolute treat when I handed them out to my cousins post Brighton half marathon! Our favourite flavour was the Sicilian Blood Orange it was soooo delicious!

Seed & Bean

Seed & Bean was founded in 2005, the owners wanted to create an ethical range of confectionery goods. They wanted to create flavours that you would rarely find in other chocolate bars and now sell over 20 flavours.

Seed and Bean are a Fairtrade, ethical and organic chocolate bar company. They sell dark, white and milk chocolate so they definitely cater for all chocolate lovers! You can find Seed & Bean at Wholefoods, Planet Organic, WHSmith, Amazon, John Lewis Food Hall and many more places.

We loved the chocolate bars were were sent to Sample, all but one were dark chocolate (our favourite). We are coffee lovers so the espresso flavour was definitely one of our favourite it was so tasty and we couldn’t stop eating it. We also love anything orange flavoured so we knew we would love the mandarin and ginger flavoured one as well. If we are honest we loved all of them, some more than others but that is always the way!

T2 Tea

T2 adhere to the utmost standards of ethical trade, and are set to be classified as B-Corp by the end of this year – very exciting! The tea that they currently stock that has a Fair Trade Certification is their English Breakfast Tea and their Turmeric Ginger Ninja.

We loved using the cute little tea pot to brew our teas and the english breakfast went down a treat, but then again who doesn’t love an english breakfast tea! The tumeric ginger tea is perfect for the winter and to fight those colds off, but certainly is an acquired taste!

Bird & Wild

Bird and Wild is on a mission to help protect migrating birds, support the RSPB and sell great tasting Fairtrade organic coffee- what an amazing company! The coffee is naturally grown under the rainforest canopy which is a haven for birds. Bird & Wild coffees are Fairtrade Certified, they ensure that producers in developing countries are paid a fair price for their work. They are also organic which means that no pesticides are added to the coffee whilst it is growing which is helping to support wildlife.

We tried the espresso blend and oh my gosh it was incredible. We have been so used to drinking instant coffee or cafetiere coffee that just doesn’t wow us or have a powerful flavour. This was was labelled strong and it certainly was, and that is just how we like our coffee. We believe there has to be some flavour to wake us up in the morning and this certainly hit the nail on the head. After sampling this we will sure be buying it, you can purchase on Ocado and also Amazon.

Karma Cola

Karma Cola believe that what you drink should not only taste good but should also be good to the land, good to the people who grow the ingredients and as good to the customer who drinks it.

Karma Cola found out that the world drinks more than a million colas a minute but none of the money went back to the people who originally discovered the stuff! So Karma cola decided to create a drink that does just that and we think that is pretty dam cool!

We have tried karma Cola previously and absolutely love it. It’s great to see lots of restaurants selling karma cola, I actually enjoyed One after my Brighton half marathon as served it in the Vegan Restaurant I was in! Karma Cola tastes just like a Coca Cola sweet, it is delicious and takes us right back to our childhood.

MIA Chocolate

MIA is an incredible chocolate brand that we have been loving for quite some time now. The name MIA stands for Made In Africa; everything the company produces is sourced and made in Africa. In addition the company believes in making delicious, unique and premium food fairly.

Each and every product that is made by MIA is entirely crafted by communities in Africa. They want to create more jobs on a continent where a single income can support an entire family.

We have written a post all about Mia chocolate before and it’s great to know that it is also Fairtrade. We love their chocolate, its great to nibble on and also to bake with. Here of their chocolate and here you can read all about when we ate in the cutest pub that use Mia chocolate in their desserts.

Abelha

Although Abelha is not Fairtrade we couldn’t not mention them in this post. They are doing some incredible things and truly do believe in providing jobs and paying fair wages to their suppliers in the villages.

Abelha Organic Cachaça was created from such a simple idea: they wanted to use the best possible all-natural ingredients and the most traditional artisan methods of production at source.  The cane used is grown 100% organically in the beautiful protected national park of Chapada Diamantina in Bahia, Northern Brazil, where the high, dry climate and sandy soils yield excellent cane for making Cachaça.

The team at Abelha believe that quality and soul come from doing as much as possible in the traditional way, by hand and in small batches. You can get the Albelha Cachaça Silver which is rested for a few months in an open steel tank which allows for some of the unwanted compounds to evaporate. Albelha Cachaça Gold is aged for 3 years in wooden barrels!

Dukes Hotel Bath

Dukes Hotel is located just off Great Pulteney Street, just a stones throw away from the Pulteney Bridge over the River Avon where there are so many cute tea rooms and coffee shops.

Dukes hotel bath

The hotel is small and absolutely perfect for your stay in Bath, it feels like home away from home. In winter there’s a roaring fire in the main reception room along with a cheery grin and welcome from the staff on duty.

Dukes hotel bath

Dukes hotel bath After collecting your keys the staff will show you to your room. The hotel is 2 houses joined together so there’s 2 sets of stairs and you have to either use the stairs at the front or back to get up and down. The rooms are all named after Dukes (it’s called Dukes of Bath afterall!)

The room was spacious, we had a back room with a lovely view outside. We had requested a twin room and the staff were very accommodating in sorting this out for us.

The beds were super comfy and the curtains were blackout which was amazing and meant we slept the entire night through, something we sometimes struggle with when staying somewhere unfamiliar so this was incredibly dreamy!

Dukes hotel bath The morning lighting in our room was incredible we just had to take a couple of cheeky selfies!

The bathroom was a great size and it had a large bath tub, so if you like having a bath this is certainly a plus. We were given complimentary shampoo and body wash. When we asked the staff for another shampoo as we both needed to wash our hair they were more than happy give us another one.

There was complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. They were placed on a lovely white tray and displayed really nicely. We especially liked the mugs they were super cute and we wished we had them at home!

Breakfast is served in the basement in a really cute room. There is a small continental including; croissants, yoghurt, cereal, fruit and juices. You can also pick a hot dish off the main menu. There is lots to choose from including full English, pancakes, scrambled eggs and porridge.

Dukes hotel bath breakfast Of course we went for pancakes and it was the best decision as they were incredible, we could’ve eaten more!!! The pancakes were crepe batter but shaped like a scotch pancake which was a different touch! You got 3 little pots of toppings, natural yoghurt, seasonal fruit compote and maple syrup. Of course we had all 3 and it all went so well together and the maple syrup was yum!!!

Dukes hotel bath breakfast We stayed around valentines and something that we really loved was the little tea cosies they had on the table and inside was a chocolate orange, it really did make us smile, we wonder what else they do throughout the year for that little special touch!

Guests are also offered toast white, brown or mixed and we went for mixed which came on a cute toast rack. We enjoyed the toast with some salty butter YUM!

We also enjoyed a pot of coffee to share which was the perfect start to our morning! It was strong and delicious and was just the boost we needed after our morning run.

Dukes hotel bath breakfast There was also another lounge area in the basement which of course we had a nosey around! There was also a bar area so we can imagine this would be perfect in the evening before going out for dinner.

We had the most glorious time in Bath and our stay was made so perfect by the friendly staff at Dukes Hotel, a smile doesn’t cost a thing and the smiley staff made our day! Thank you to all the staff for our beautiful stay! 🙂
