The Book Club is actually quite a famous night club/ bar in Shoreditch but also serves delicious food in the day! We had never thought about visiting for food as we only ever thought of this place a somewhere to come for a boogie and too many G&T’s, however we were pleasantly surprised!
Located in Shoreditch, it is the perfect location if you are in the area and fancy some delicious brunch for great value as well!
We started with a couple of iced coffees (black for Annie and with oat milk for Rach)! They were so delicious and strong just how we like it!
Seeing as it was a Saturday we also enjoyed one of their ‘special’ cocktails, this one was the elderflower gin spritz which was so refreshing and delicious, the perfect summer drink!
There were so many delicious choices on the menu we actually struggled with what to have as it all sounded so incredible!
As per usual we decided to share so we could sample a couple of things, we opted for the smashed avocado on sourdough toast which was served with sun-dried tomatoes and we asked them to add chorizo which was the best accompiant!
This dish as absolutely incredible and if you decide to visit you should most definitely try it and make sure you add the chorizo as it totally made the dish for us!
We also opted for the crumpet with buttermilk fried chicken, bacon and maple syrup! We have really started to love this combination recently and this dish did not let us down we loved it.
The crumpet was light and fluffy, the batter on the chicken was delicious and all in all a great dish! Oh and don’t be scared to ask for extra maple syrup like we did!
Also, to note here, the veggie breakfast looked amazing and was very popular with guests, our waitress told us it was her favourite dish – think we may have to return to try it, the avocado and the beans looked yum!!
They have plenty of cocktails to choose from and they all sound delicious, they even do happy hour and we also noticed that they do bottomless drinks!
The staff at The Book Club were super friendly and our waitress was a total babe! We loved the relaxed atmosphere and how bright and colourful it was! There was also a lot of cool art work on the walls.
