Labuan Bajo is where most people will stay when headed to the Komodo National Park on boat trips.

Labuan Bajo has plenty of eateries and here are our favourites and where we chose to eat whilst here. There is lots to choose from and something to suit everyone!

Bajo Bakery

Bajo Bakery is also part of Bajo Taco, but as the name suggests this is a bakery (breakfast) spot. The views from this place are amazing so we highly recommend a visit. We came for breakfast and the menu is epic, there is so much to choose from, from a traditional english breakfast, french toast or smoothie bowls – you will certainly find something that tickles your fancy!

Come here for brunch, enjoy the view whilst sipping delicious Flores coffee or a yummy fresh fruit juice.

Bajo Taco

Also part of Bajo Bakery, Bajo Taco serves as the name suggests serves tacos plus more, all mexican inspired food! The chicken enchiladas were amazing and I would highly recommend. We also went for their special which was a steak burrito. Again you can sit here and enjoy a stunning view of the harbour day or night!

Warung Mama

If you want some tradition Indonesian food cooked homestyle for amazing value then you must head to Warung Muma. You pick your food from a counter where there are huge baking trays of food. The choice will change daily but there is plenty to choose from, and of course it comes with rice! It is not exactly a fancy restaurant but simple and cheap!

Artomoro

We visited here twice because we loved it so much! Again we opted for the Indonesian food and it was all incredible! You must order the sweet & sour chicken because it is amazing! Also the side dish of veg is incredible too!

Do not come here however if you are in a rush as it takes a while for your food to come, but well worth the wait and nice to just chill out and get away from the crazy street of motorbikes!

Le Pirate

Le Pirate is also a hotel in Labuan Bajo and you can also do a boat trip with these guys too! We had another delicious Indonesian meal here, the chicken curry was yum, the sauce was incredible!

La Cucina

Come here if you fancy a break from the rice meals and enjoy a delicious pizza. The sourdough base is amazing and there is so much choice! We also shared the bruscetta which was yum. However, they are doing some building works right outside the balcony where you sit, not sure if its going to be part of the restaurant or a totally new establishment, in which case La Cucina will totally have their gorgeous view of the harbour blocked out!

Treehouse

This is the best spot for a drink over the harbour whilst watching the sunset. We came here twice because we loved it so much! There is also live music which is fab! Make sure you sit right at the top of the treehouse for the best view!

Fish Market

The fish market is right by Labuan Bajo harbour and its such a wicked place to come for some yummy fresh fish. There are lots of stalls selling fish covered in yum herbs & spices served with rice. There are lots of seats set up so pick up your food and take a seat whereever you fancy. We recommend going to the supermarket and picking up some Bintangs to enjoy whilst you eat your meal too.

There is also a delicious smoothie stand serving incredible smoothies and juices made with fresh fruit right in front of your eyes!

One thing to note the stalls don’t take cash so you have to get a card from a stall at the entrance and top it up with cash there.
