Everyone knows that exercise is healthy, and that staying physically active and in-shape is a lot better than the alternative of sitting around on the sofa all day and snacking on junk food (although this is great fun as well)!

People debate about the right kind of diet, and the best form of exercise to take, but in reality any form is exercise is good exercise and you should do what you enjoy and not just because it is a new ‘trend’.

Your exercise of choice may involve daily trips to the gym to weight train, or long walks in the countryside maybe even somewhere abroad in the mountains like walking in Andorra.

So, what should you do when you’re just not in the mood for exercising at all? Firstly think about whether or not you have worked out a lot and maybe you just need a rest day! Or maybe the weather is lush outside and you want to spend your time outside having a couple of drinks after work! All of this is okay and you don’t have to be 100% on it the entire time. If this is something that is happening more frequently though then take a read of our tips below to help you get back on track!

Increase your energy levels
If you hate the idea of exercise and you just can’t motivate yourself to train because you are too tired. This may be due to your energy levels make sure you are getting enough sleep and furling your body with the right type of food! This should help you feel more energised and want to exercise, oh and doing the below will allow you to get the most out of a workout.

While everyone has an off day here or there (we are only human), your basic relationship with exercise should be positive. You should want to move your body! .

Begin small and work your way up as you feel ready for it
Sometimes, we feel completely unmotivated to train, because we go too hard and reach out limits and then basically cannot walk for a couple of days LOL we have all been there. Go at your own pace and even adapt certain exercises for your ability.

Exercise will soon become part of your routine and a habit, start with exercises you are comfortable with and then begin to introduce new moves and exercises into your workout.

Focus on workouts that leave you feeling satisfied by the end, not ruined
It’s become fashionable these days to train until our souls want to escape our bodies! We love feeling satisfied with our workout by the end of it but it is also important not too push yourself to the absolute limit where you end up feeling worse than when you started.

When you push yourself too hard in training, you cause your body more stress than is good for it, and you condition yourself to see exercise as a nightmare.

5 Unhealthy Mistakes New Travellers Could Make

Travelling for the first time can be an absolutely incredible experience, Rachel’s first solo trip was to Australia. Just like us any new traveller goes through a rollercoaster of different emotions; feeling scared because they are away from home for the first time, excited at being in a new place alone, apprehensive because they don’t know what to expect while also feeling thrilled.

When you decide to go travelling, it’s a turning point in your life (lol sorry but it’s true). However, many new travellers make unhealthy mistakes that can ruin their trips and end up cutting them short. Read on to find out what they are so that you don’t end up doing the same!

Buying Street Food In Quiet Areas
Street food is a great way to save money on meals while you travel, but buying it in a quiet area is usually a mistake. This usually means that the food isn’t as fresh, so you could end up falling ill with food poisoning. It’s much safer to get food from places where there are a lot of people around. This way, you can be sure that it’s freshly cooked.

Drinking The Tap Water
This is something your parents may have drilled into you from a young age, but we will say it again; drinking the tap water in many foreign countries can result in a horrible illness, and you could find yourself on the toilet for the remainder of your trip (sorry if TMI). Always buy bottled water, and feel better about contributing to plastic waste by making sure you recycle it or take a reusable bottle with you.

Failing To Get Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an absolute essential. In some countries it is compulsory, in others it isn’t – but you should get it wherever you decide to go. Travel insurance won’t stop you from falling ill or hurting yourself, but it’ll help to protect you financially should you need hospital treatment or to cut your trip short. You never know what might happen, so don’t risk it!

Dressing appropriately for the weather, comfort depending on your activity, and the culture that you’re visiting is a must. You might even find that it’s better to buy clothes once you arrive as they are really cheap and help you fit in with the locals! Make sure you do lots of research you can find out lots of info on the countries you are planning on visit online, whether that’s on how to enjoy a healthy umrah or something else you’ve put on your bucket list.

Drinking Too Much
Not only is waking up with a hangover when you’re supposed to be exploring no fun; it’s pretty dangerous. You never know what could happen so always have your wits about you. If you’re travelling alone you’re putting yourself at risk just a little bit more! Limit your drinks and something we have always done is written a note in our room, saying where we are going and when we expect to be back. Try and make some friends in your hostel and head out with them!

Forgetting Sunscreen
If you’re doing anything other than a beach holiday, it’s all too easy to think that you can forget about sunscreen. Wrong! Sunscreen is important even if the sun isn’t shining, so make sure you take some with you and slap it on before leaving. In many counties you can buy massive suncream pots with handles, so just tie to your rucksack and you’ll never be caught short!

Sarona Eatery Review

Sarona Eatery is a new Middle Eastern restaurant which opened its doors in May 2018 in Clerkenwell. Sarona Eatery is inspired by the street food of Tel-Aviv to the streets of East London, they serve Tel Aviv classics but have also added an East London Twist.

Sarona Eatery is located on Clerkenwell Road with the nearest tube station being Farringdon (a 5 minute walk away). The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday-Friday7:30AM-23:00PM and also opens on a Saturday for Shabbat Brunch from 11:00AM-22:00PM.

The founders wanted to create a restaurant that enabled people to come together and eat good Israeli food and we think the restaurant has really hit the nail on the head.

Everything on the menu is homemade in the Sarona Kitchen which we absolutely loved as you know the food you are being served is fresh and has been made with love. The menu was designed with sharing in mind which is exactly what we did when we visited one Saturday afternoon.

Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted by the waitress who took us to the table that had been reserved for us, the table was inside and due to it being a lovely sunny day we asked if we were able to sit outside which she said wasn’t a problem at all. There were several tables outside that we can imagine are packed during the week. The city is always much quieter at the weekends so we were lucky to have the outside seating area to ourselves.

We asked the waitress and manager for their suggestions to ensure we were able to try a selection of dishes. We are not fussy eaters (we are up for trying anything) so we suggested they surprise us with the dishes. We do this quite frequently when we are visiting restaurants and we haven’t had a bad recommendation as of yet.

To start we both ordered a glass of wine Rachel went for the house rose and Annie went for the house Sauvignon Blanc. Both were delicious and the perfect drinks to enjoy with our feast!

The menu consisted of three sections the first one being the ‘dipping and ripping’ section! We were served Handmade Sarona Humus which consisted of Tahini sauce, chickpeas, schug and olive oil served with pita bread. If you love hummus then we would definitely recommend this dish it was so tasty, if you are wondering what schug is like we were it is an Israeli hot sauce it wasn’t that spicy though so don’t let this put you off.

We also tried the Chopped Grilled Aubergine with fresh mint and pomegranate rubies, this reminded us of baba ganoush and we especially liked the pomegranate and mint flavours as they really gave the dish a little bit of extra flavour. This is the perfect dish to share with friends and it is also served with pita bread on the side.

There were lots of dishes on the small plates section of the menu that took our fancy especially the Crispy Cauliflower with tahini sauce, amba sauce and roasted almonds which we were served and absolutely love. We are mad for tahini so knew we were going to love this dish, the amba sauce is a popular Middle Eastern picked mango condiment which was also really tasty. This was definitely one of our favourite dishes we tried at Sarona so we would 100% recommend you ordering it.

The Spiced lamb kofta with cucumber, spring onion, mint and sour cream was also another favourite of ours and a dish we would definitely order again. This dish was served with 2 lamb koftas which were generous in size and they were really generous with the salad. This would be the perfect dish if you wanted to enjoy your own starter without sharing.

When we say we had a feast we really did mean it, the final section of the menu is called ‘big plates’ and this is the main dishes although as we were sharing everything we had all the dishes arrive as and when they are cooked which we really enjoyed.

The All Day Shakshuka is a hawayej roast lamb shoulder that is cooked for 14 hours before being added to slow cooked cherry tomatoes and free-range eggs served with grilled sourdough bread. This was quite a rich dish with lots of delicious flavours, but the lamb was so tender and cooked to perfection. We especially loved the bread that was served on the side it was a brioche based bread that was sweet and complimented the shakahuka perfectly.

The Chermoula marinated Bavette Steak is a 45 day old Hereford Bavette served on green bean, fennel and pomegranate salad, if we are hones this was probably our least favourite dish it was still tasty and the flavours were delicious but we just found it to be a little chewy.

The Spiced Tune Steak is a chargrilled schug spiced yellow fin tuna with caramelised lime and oh my this was just incredible. We cannot recommend the tuna steak enough, we had it cooked rare which we are glad about as it was so flavoursome and we loved the schug spice sauce.

As you can imagine we were stuffed after this, so full that we couldn’t even order a dessert to try. The dessert did sound delicious though there was a choice of apple, plum and organs blossom strudel, home baked rogelach and a gluten free dark chocolate brownie.

The toilets were also immaculate and decor was beautiful. We especially loved the pink velvet round sofa in the hallway of the toilets- we would quite like one of them for ourselves!

We absolutely loved our afternoon at Sarona Eatery, the staff we fab and were so attentive making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our time. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough and we will definitely we returning with a larger group so we can share the love!

Preparing For Your Summer Holiday

Preparing for a holiday is extremely exciting but it can also be quite stressful! Don’t worry though as we have got a check list for you to work free to make sure you have a stress free holiday!

Passport in date
Make sure you check your passport to see it is still in date, there would be nothing worse than realising your passport is out of date a few days before your holiday. Always make sure you check this prior to booking your holiday and some destinations need you to have at least 6 months left on your passport expiry date.

Travel insurance
We cannot stress enough how important it is to get yourself some travel insurance. Obviously no one goes away with the intention of becoming ill or being involved in an accident but it can happen! We tend to purchase our travel insurance for the year if we are off on several trips as it definitely cheaper. Have a look on Bupa for your travel insurance!

Buying the essentials
Don’t forget to buy all the essentials you are going to need especially sun cream. If you are taking hand luggage only remember you won’t be able to take a big bottle through security so you can always purchase it in the airport. If you are going to purchase it in the airport we would advise that on write yourself a check list so you don’t forget any of the essentials.

Check in
Don’t forget to check into your flight before going away unless you want to be met by a fine at the check in desk (not all airlines charge but a fair few of them do)! Once you have checked in you can then print your boarding pass! We actually tend to use the apps now instead of printing out our boarding passes.

Travel money
Check whether or not the exchange rate is better in your own country or when you are abroad. Some countries you visit like Morocco you are not allowed to take their currency out before you arrive and when you leave you have to change it back. If you are taking your money out when you arrive make sure to tell your bank!

Travelling to the airport
How are you getting to the airport? It’s far cheaper if you book your car parking space in advance, the later you leave it the more expensive it is going to be. Why not get the train? The majority of train that go to the airports run through the night as well and can be really cheap.

Traveling to your final destination
How are you getting to your final destination once your land? Have you hired a car? Is there a train line or are you going to hop in a taxi? It’s always worth being prepared so you have a smooth journey and organised start to your holiday.

Darwin Brasserie Brunch Review

Darwin Brasserie is located in the walkie talkie building in the city of London. The restaurant is on the 36th floor (same as the sky garden).

Upon arrival we had to go through security before getting in the lift and going up to the 35th floor which is where the viewing platform is located. We then got back in the lift and got out on the 36th floor before entering the Darwin Brasserie.

Now before we start our review we are going to say that almost everything possible went wrong whilst we were there it was actually quite commical. The manager (whose name we didnt catch) was incredible and completly turned it around making sure we enjoyed our time at the Brasserie. His service and attitude was incredible and we cant thank him enough for turning everything around and basically saving Rachels surprise birthday breakfast.

We had booked a table at 9:30AM for Breakfast which we were really looking forward to as we had heard good things. When we phoned the restaurant to book and we wanted re assurance that we would have enough time if we arrived at 9:30AM as breakfast stopped at 10:30. We were told by the gentleman on the phone that it would be plenty of time we just needed to make sure we had ordered our hot breakfast by 9:45AM.

We were shown to our table and the waitress told us that we would have to be finished by 10:00AM as that is when breakfast is cleared away. We were surprised as this wasn’t what we were told previously on the phone. She said we could ‘pile up’ our plates before 10 o’clock as we had the table until 10:30AM. Had we of known we would have booked the table for 9:00AM.

As for piling up our plates it wasn’t really the kind of dining we were looking forward to! 😂 plus half of the food had already run out!

The continental part was cleared away at 9:58AM to which the manager came over and apologised and said he would remove the continental part off of the bill- which was incredibly kind of him.

We ordered our breakfast Annie had the smoked Salmon, scrambled egg on Rye Bread which also came with half a grilled beef tomato. It was really tasty the scrambled egg was the perfect consistency and the portion size of the smoked salmon was generous.

Rach went for the Panacakes with Caramalised bananas and Chocolate sauce (which she asked to be removed as she doesnt like Nutella). When the pancakes arrived the plate was sprinkled in hazelnuts, so we asked if they could be removed. The pancakes returned and they had freshly prepared a new batch that were extra fluffy! The manager also gave Rach some berries and a jug of maple syrpup to say sorry for the mix up. The pancakes were so delicious and very cake like we would definitely reccomend if you visit Darwin Brasserie.

We were still at the table gone 10:30AM and the manager surpised us each with a glass of Prosecco to say sorry for the inconvinience that had been caused. It didn’t have to do that and it was a lovely gesture- there were smiles all round.

When I booked Darwin Brasserie I was asked if we were celebrating an occassion as they would bring something out as a surprise at the end. I had completly forgotten about this so it was a nice suprise when that arrived for Rachel.

The ultimate brunch is £25.50 which includes the continental buffett and an item off of the menu. You can opt for the continental breakfast only which is priced at £16.95.

There was a great atmosphere in the Brasserie, and the view was incredible! Eating breakfast and looking out at London isn’t something we do everyday so that sure was amazing.

As we were leaving we noticed the staff had already started laying out the brunch which by the way looked INCREDIBLE! Especially the desserts!

We would definitely recommend visiting but just make sure you book earlier enough to give yourself enough time!

How To Visit Ireland On A budget

Ireland is an amazing destination for a UK trip but it can get a little expensive depending on where you go. The bigger cities like Dublin are quite pricey and you’ll end up spending a lot of money while you’re out there, sometimes more than you would if you went somewhere in Europe. But you shouldn’t let that put you off going because it’s got so much to offer. If you’re planning a trip to Ireland sometime soon, here’s how to do it on a budget.

Getting There
The good news is, getting to Ireland really isn’t that expensive. The flights take no time at all and they’ll only cost you about £50 if you book in advance. If you’re not too keen on flying or you just want to cut the cost even more you could consider getting a ferry. You’ve got to be careful when you’re booking a ferry because the prices can change so dramatically. You can get them cheaper than flights but on some days, they’ll be a lot more. The best thing to do is just keep checking the prices regularly for a few weeks and work out when the best time to go is.

Where To Stay
Deciding where you’re going to go has a massive impact on the cost of your trip to Ireland. If you go to Dublin, for example, you can’t really avoid spending a load of money while you’re out there. The cost of food and drink is pretty much the same as London so a week there is going to put a slight dent in your wallet. There are some other amazing cities in Ireland that aren’t anywhere near as expensive so you’re better off going somewhere like Cork instead.

Once you’ve chosen the city you’re going to stay in, you need to decide on the accommodation. You can easily find gift vouchers for an Irish hotel break online which will make the whole thing a lot more affordable.

If you really want to save some cash, why not go camping instead? There are some beautiful landscapes in Ireland that create the perfect backdrop for an outdoors trip. You can spend some time hiking around in the mountains and taking in the scenery.

Food And Drink
Eating and drinking in Ireland can quickly get pricey if you don’t know what you’re doing. Alcohol, in particular, is very expensive so a night in the pub can end up taking a huge chunk out of your budget. It would be a shame to miss out on a pint of famous Irish Guinness while you’re out there but just be careful.

Eating out in Ireland can be pricey too but you should be able to find some more affordable places if you look around a bit, how about checking on Instagram which is what we do before visiting a city. You can find some yummy places to eat at. The pubs offer great homely food without a massive price tag. One of the best ways to save money on eating out in Ireland is to ask the locals, they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

A trip to Ireland can easily be expensive but if you use these tips, you can do it on a budget.

We have recently signed up to Timeout More which is a perks card that gives us things for free, sounds amazing right? We are absolutely loving all the perks so far and since signing up we always make sure we check Timeout More before booking a restaurant to see if we can pick up a perk!

Timeout More costs £29.99 for 12 months which is £2.50 a month which we think is 100% worth it and like they say that is less than a coffee! It’s definitely worth it if you are like us and enjoy eating out which we all know can be expensive in London.

It is really quick and easy to purchase the card all you need to do is sign up online, they will send you an activation code to your email and you are ready to go!

We visited The Real Greek this week and of course we made sure we checked Timeout More prior to booking a table to see if we were able to claim any perks and luckily we were!

We were both able to order a drink for free which was a bonus we went for a prosecco as we were not feeling the beer! The waiter was a little unsure as to what the Timeout More card was but he spoke to his manager and it was fine!

When you are ready to use the offer all you have to do is click the ‘Use Now’ button which will generate a unique offer code. This code will expire after 10 minutes if not used but don’t panic you can always create a new code by just clicking ‘Use Now’ again. Show your code to a member of the team and it really is as simple as that.

There was a £10 minimum spend per person that you had to spend before getting the free drink but we were there for dinner so this wasn’t a problem!

There are hundreds of restaurants that each offer a different perk including: Pizza Pilgrims, Frano Manca, The Real Greek, Where the Pancakes Are, Cote Brasserie, Tortilla, The Modern Pantry, Nonna’s Gelato, Palm Vaults and so many more! 39 Steps Coffee Haus Review

39 Steps Coffee Haus is located in the heart Soho and the second branch is opening soon in Knightsbridge which we will have to visit.

The reason it is called 39 steps is because it takes exactly 39 steps from the bean on the bush to the cup in your hand! We thought this was really cool and have since read up on it, which you can also do if you are interested over on their website.

We visited at lunch time one Saturday and the coffee haus was heaving (in a good way). This sure was a sign that the coffee and food they served was good! You cannot book a table, you just have to walk in and see if there is one available.

It isn’t very big inside and there are two main tables in the middle that sit four and around the edge of the venue there are bar stalls which we opted to sit at. There are also a few smaller tables available as well. We chose the seats by the window so we could watch the world go by!

Upon sitting down as looked at the drinks menu as we had been told the cold press juices where to die for and we can indeed confirm they are DELICIOUS!

We decided to opt for two different juices/smoothies so we could try a couple of the flavours. The first cold press juice we chose was watermelon based and was delightfully refreshing and the perfect drink to enjoy on a warms summers day, which indeed it was.

We also ordered a smoothie which consisted of banana, mint and lots of other flavours it was the perfect consistency and the flavours really complimented each other. The juices come in 250ml bottles so they are perfect to take away or like us you can enjoy them in a glass with some ice.

Rachel ordered an iced latte with almond milk and Annie had an iced americano with a dash of soya milk. The coffee was incredible, it wasn’t to bitter which we loved but still nice and strong. We did also spot the cold coffee freakshake which we are intrigued to try so we will definitely have to visit again!

When we first walked into 39 Steps we noticed the pancakes and knew immediately that we would be ordering a stack. We ordered the peach jam pancakes to share which were served with whipped cream, fairtrade bananas and honey. We are glad we shared the pancakes because they were absolutely HUGE but oh my SO dam delicious! They only cost £9 which we think is a bargain considering the portion size, we will be dreaming about these pancakes for a while!

Upon leaving the manager asked us if we wanted to take away a couple of the cakes or muffins they had on display at the front counter. We opted for the vegan banana bread and a blueberry muffin. The vegan banana bread was really tasty and very moist which we like our banana bread to be! The blueberry muffin was huge and was bursting with fresh blueberries and was texture was light and fluffy so overall a very tasty muffin.

They had lots of sandwiches and cakes on display by the counter which we thought was a great idea especially for customers that are taking away! The juices are also at the counter stores in crushed ice.

39 Steps Coffee Haus gets a massive thumbs up from us! Everything from the service to the food and the drinks were incredible. We couldn’t recommend visiting this little establishment enough it filled us with joy and left us feeling very content.

Staying Healthy And Fit During Your Summer Travels

More and more of us are getting ready for our summer holidays wooohooo! From short-haul to Europe (Annie is off to Spain and Rhodes), to longer haul (Rachel is off to Canada)! Regardless of where you are going you have probably already thought about packing It’s definitely something you either love or hate!

Does anyone else find that whenever they stop and finally rest they get ill? We always do and it totally sucks! Although in summer there are fewer bugs around to catch, you can still get ill in summer, especially in a new country where you’re trying new foods or have a body clock that is all over the place. So here are some of the best ways that you can stay well on your travels this summer.

Hydrate

This is going to be one of the most important points for your summer travels. Temperatures are hotting up, and you’ll be losing a lot of water through sweat when you’re away.

If you decide to go on a boat trip or spend time by the sea you are likely to not feel as hot, as the breeze will cool you. But you will still be losing water. So you need to be drinking at least two liters of water a day, if not more. It can be tricky in some countries to do so, as you can’t drink the tap water. So stock up at local supermarkets with some bottled water. A cost-efficient way of doing it is taking your own reusable water bottle, and then fill it up each day from a large bottle of water bought from a store. Plus, places like hotel gyms have bottled water that you can decant and fill up your own bottle with.

Avoid Jet Lag

If you have jet lag, then it means that you can be sleeping at unusual hours, not getting enough sleep, or just generally feeling unwell. While this is more common when flying long-haul, it can happen any time. One of the best pieces of advice to avoid jet lag is to try to get on the new country’s time, as soon as you get on the plane. If you’re going to be landing somewhere and it will be daytime, then you need to sleep as much as you can on the plane, so that you can stay awake when you get there.

Exercise

Some holidays are going to be pretty active ones (think hiking trips or city breaks). So you’re less likely to need to exercise formally on those kinds of trip. But going off to the beach for two weeks means that you may decide to keep active by going for a run or visiting the hotel gym. We sometimes like to research gyms in the local area as well. It’s not that you have to exercise when on holiday and don’t think you do we just like to it helps us keep sane and also means we can enjoy one of two more cocktails than normal.

Watch What You Eat

This actually doesn’t have anything to do with calorie intake or anything like that, but more about how the foods are prepared and if they will be good for you. Even something like a salad, that has been washed in tap water, can make you sick. So you need to check things like that. It can also be a good idea to avoid certain things on street food carts, especially if you can’t check how it has been prepared. You want to reduce the chance of you getting sick from something you’ve eaten, and avoid getting anything like Delhi-Belly.

Sunscreen

It can be easy to forget about sunscreen and go wild by the pool in the hopes of getting a tan. And while the long-term effects of sun damage aren’t going to have an impact immediately, there are some side-effects that will. You can get sore, cracked, or broken skin, as well as something like sunstroke. That can leave you feeling nauseous, lethargic, high temperature, and in a lot of pain. So it really is simple; wear sunscreen, and keep applying it often.

Relax

Taking some time out when you’re on holiday can be just what you need to unwind and relax. And while you’re taking a break from some of the stressors of every day and your normal routine, holidays can still feel a little full on. So look for ways to help you to be more mindful. This could be meditation, writing in a journal, doing some exercise like yoga, or taking yourself off for a spa treatment. Time out gives you time to de-stress and to relax.

Goodbye English Festivals, Hello Spanish Festivals

We love Spain it is one of our favourite countries to visit during the summer months. The warm temperatures, delicious food and the refreshing Sangria is enough to make us return almost every year.

We have been to Spain almost every year since we were little. We have visited lots of different parts of Spain and also visited for many different reasons. We have been to Spain on family holidays, Hen do’s, city breaks and to a music festival which was so much fun.

If you have not heard of Benicassim before then we would definitely recommend checking it out. Benicassim takes place in July just a short ride away from Valencia and Barcelona. There are lots of bus transfers from the airport so it is definitely worth booking one of those as it will be much cheaper than a taxi. This year it starts on Thursday 19th July through to Sunday 22nd July you can purchase a 4 day ticket for 155 euros which also includes camping but you can also purchase 3 and 2 day tickets.

Forget about packing welly boots and a rain coat like you would when attending an English festival! This festival definitely won’t be a wash out like a few of the England festivals we have attended in the past! What you will need is a bikini, flip flops and lots of sun cream.

The great thing about Benicassim is that the music starts at about 6pm giving you the entire day to enjoy the sunshine. We used to take the bus down to the beach and spend the entire day enjoying the sunshine.

We paid about 12 euros for a week’s bus pass which was unlimited and you could use to get to and from the beach from the campsite. The bus also stopped at the supermarkets at well which was incredible. We used to go to Lidl to stock up on our supplies as it was far cheaper.

The bus will drop you at the drive way to the festival and we are not lying when we say this drive way is LONG! Carrying 2 litre bottles of water is NOT fun especially in the heat but it is worth it when you get back to your tent and you are not having to spend a ridiculous amount that the festival tents charge.

We decided to glamp at Benicassim we couldn’t think of anything worse than waking up in a hot tent with a hangover! We paid for the tipi tents which cost about £150 extra each (prices may have gone up a little bit by now as we went a couple of year ago). Inside the tipi tents were blow up mattresses with duvets and pillows it was fantastic.

We were also provided breakfast and a coffee in the morning which was delightful! The breakfast was a selection of pastries and bread with jam etc. There was also a giant paddling pool which someone unfortunately punctured on our first day! DOW!

The showers at the campsite were incredible we had about four showers a day because it was just so dam hot! There were so many showers and they were located outside set up like scaffolding, they were far to begin with from where the sun had warmed up the water and then after a while they went cold which was so refreshing.

The music was great and we enjoyed Benicassim so much, if was our first festival abroad and definitely won’t be our last. We really want to go to the La Tomatina Festival next!
