We tried gin pasta at a local restaurant before and it was delicious. So when we were sent some Vodka from Deerness Distillery and some delicious Italian food products from Organico it made perfect sense to try a vodka pasta recipe.

It was so yummy that we have to share it with you!!

Ingredients:

1.Finely slice up the onion and then add a splash of oil to your pan. Heat the oil and the add the onions and garlic spread. Cook until translucent.

2. Add the tomato puree ensuring its mixed in well with your onions.

3. Add the vodka and let the alcohol burn off, this should take no longer than 30 seconds. Then add your cream.

4. Bring a pan of salty water to the boil and then add your pasta. Cook as per instructions.

5. Add 50-100ml of the pasta water to your vodka sauce, depending on how ‘saucy’ you like it. Drain your pasta and add to the sauce, mix well.

6. Serve with a sprinkling of parmesan or cheddar cheese and decorate with basil.
