On returning from a fabulous stay in Marni Village I just had to write a post about this fabulous place!

Marni Village is located in Koutouloufari, Crete which is a quaint greek village. Koutouloufari has lots of lovely restaurants, bars and little shops. It has such a nice feel to it as it was a lot smaller than Hersonissos.

The great thing about Marni Village was that it was only a 20 minute walk to Hersonissos which is full of even more restaurants, bars, great nightlife and a lovely harbour. This is why we loved Marni Village so much, you really did have the best of both worlds, the quiet village of Koutouloufari and then the much lively town of Hersonissos. You could also get a taxi to Malia is you so desired.

Beaches are also a walk or nicer ones (Stalis), a short taxi ride away. In addition there is a massive Spar supermaket about a 15 minute walk away (although you do have to walk up a massive hill with all your shopping!), this is great though as the apartments at Marni Village are self catering so you can pick up all your food and drink from here.

The resort itself is super nice, there are 3 pools to choose from (or you can pick a villa which has its own private pool!). The main pool is the one near the bar, which seems to be the most popular, then there is a smaller pool near the entrance to the resort and then an infinity pool at the top of the resort with stunning views! We loved chilling at the infinity pool it was our favourite place to come to swim, relax and read our book (we loved that there was an entire bookshelf of books you could borrow in reception!)

Each apartment has its own balcony and we loved having breakfast here every morning. The apartment has a well stocked kitchen with fridge, freeze, hob, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses etc. The shower’s were great and the beds were comfy.

Also the staff were just super friendly, they made sure we had a pleasant trip and booked taxis for us, gave us restaurant recommendations, told us where the nicest beach was and also arranged airport transfer to and from the hotel.

We had such a pleasant stay at Marni Village and would recommend to anyone visiting Crete in the summer!
