Bens Canteen has been on our list of places to visit ever since our bus drove past it one afternoon. We are quite observant especially when it comes to food places and as soon as we walk or drive past somewhere that looks cute we head straight to Instagram to see pictures and more importantly check out the menu.
Bens Canteen had also be recommended to us by a number of people so we knew we would enjoy it. However we were warned that sometimes its very busy and you have to wait. We were lucky when we went that we took the last table of two, and people arriving after us were being turned away. That being said, it is definitely worth the wait.
There are two BC currently in London, one at Clapham Junction and one in Earlsfield. However one will be opening in Batteesea Powerstation too!
There is an extensive brunch menu, but you can also enjoy lunch or dinner here too. They also often have deals on during the week as per the picture below:
We quite fancy returning for the bottomless brunch which is £25 per person, which includes any item off the menu and 2 hours bottomless prosecco.
On this visit we sampled the Flatbread Smashed Avo and the Big Ben (basically a full English breakfast). The big breakfast was huge and you got 2 eggs cooked how you want. We opted for poached which were cooked to perfection.
The flatbread smashed avo was simply incredible and we would recommend this to anyone who visits. We chose to add the chorizo which was a good idea too. As Rach doesn’t like eggs this was the perfect option for her.
100% we would return to Bens Canteen and we cannot wait to visit the new one in Battersea.
