It has been a tradition of ours to go away at Christmas for the past few years, sadly Rach couldn’t make it this year as she had her final practical exam for PT school (we missed her so much). The location of choice this Christmas was Bath and we couldn’t have been more excited.
We searched for hours and looked at numerous properties on Air BnB in hope that we would find the perfect place to stay, none of them were quite right and incredibly expensive so we took our search elsewhere. I eventually found a lovely property on Bath Holiday Rentals, it was a good price and just looked perfect.
Bath Holiday Rentals have several properties in Bath which are all 4 or 5* self catering houses.
On arrival we immediately fell in love and knew we were going to have the best time. The apartment had a kitchen, living room and drawing room which were decorated immaculately and instantly made us feel so at home something we find doesn’t come that easily.
The 3 bedrooms were located downstairs they were all decorated charmingly and cleaned to perfection. We felt so cosy in the house, this might have something to do with the underfloor heating which was a god send considering out cold it was outside.
A small hamper had been set up on the kitchen worktop which included; a bottle of mulled wine, mince pies, Muesli and some milk in the fridge, we loved this idea it was super cute of them and is something we will always remember about the place.
The Property was located in the centre of Bath on Brock Street, we couldn’t have really asked for a better location it was only a 5 minute walk away from the city meaning we didn’t have to drive anywhere all weekend. Talking about cars parking in Bath is slightly tricky, the property gave us one parking permit which was great but we had two cars. On the Friday when we arrived we parked the car on a yellow line, there were no signs to say what time we had to move the car by so we assumed the car would be fine but you guessed it we go a ticket LOL. The traffic warden actually told us to leave the ticket on the windscreen as we wouldn’t receive two in 24 hours and it was free to park there on a Sunday.
We always do Secret Santa whenever we go away so when we turned up and spotted a Christmas tree in the living room window we were over the moon. We each placed out presents under the tree which made our Christmas getaway even more perfect.
After a long day in Bath exploring the city we couldn’t wait to get back to the house to enjoy an afternoon of cheese and mulled wine. The kitchen was so well equipped (we especially loved the Emma Bridgwater crockery) we couldn’t fault anything, it really did feel like we had just moved into someone’s house for the weekend.
We will be recommending this place to EVERYONE! We haven’t stopped talking about it since we got home. We lived like princesses for the weekend and that is definitely something we could get used to.
