St Christopher’s Inn Berlin Mitte

St Christopher’s Inn has hostels in 10 cities across Europe and we were invited to stay in the newly built Berlin Mitte Hostel. The Berlin Mitte Hostel was centrally located- infect it was the PERFECT location!

The staff at St Christopher’s Inn were all so friendly and welcoming. We did not arrive until late Friday evening and as soon as we arrived the staff checked us in and explained were, we would find our room. All of St Christopher’s Inn have 24-hour Receptions which is helpful as it does not restrict you especially if you are travelling and not sure on your exact arrival time.

Our room was on the 5th floor, we had a private twin room with an en-suite. Upon arrival our room was lovely and clean (although a little chilly as the window was wide open) but as soon as we closed it and put on the heating the room was super cosy.

We had such a good night’s sleep in St Christopher’s Inn and considering it is a party hostel we were not woken up all at night which we did not expect. The pillows were so soft and squishy and the room was pitch black when we switched the lights out which was incredible considering we were in the middle of the city. The bathroom was fairly basic but everything works just as it should.

There was also a TV in our room which we didn’t actually switch on all weekend, but it was nice to have the option should you wish to. We loved the huge double window in our room that went from floor to ceiling, it let in so much light in the morning when we pulled out curtains which was beaut as it was such a sunny weekend in Berlin.

Breakfast was served from 7AM-10AM and if you book your hostel direct on the St Christopher’s Inn website you will be given a complimentary breakfast. It was a continental breakfast including toast, cereal, yoghurt, cold meats, fresh fruit and boiled eggs. We grabbed a quick slice of toasts to fuel us for the morning, but our plan was always to head out for brunch in Berlin.

Attached to the majority of St Christopher’s Inn there is a Belushi’s bar (there was one in Berlin Mitte) were you could go for drinks and grab a bite to eat if you wish, the food always smelt so delicious. There was also a roof terrace which was closed for winter but the receptionist very kindly gave us a key so we could access. The roof terrace is open in the summer months and it looks like so much fun, we think they should open it in the winter months as well and create a little winter wonderland!

There was also a lounge area in the Berlin Mitte Hostel where you could sit and chill if you wanted to. There were comfy seats, games and a snooker table if you fancied a game of snooker.

Safety is a huge priority for St Christopher’s Inn and we can vouch and say that we felt totally safe when staying in the Berlin Mitte Hostel.

You can also find St Christopher’s Inn in London, Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Prague, Edinburgh, Bath, Newquay and Barcelona. All of the hostels are centrally located with easy access to the city centre and public transport.
