We always arrange a girly Christmas weekend away and this year our chosen location was Norwich! We were super excited to visit as it isn’t somewhere we have really explored before!

We headed to Norwich on the Friday and went straight to our Airbnb which was located just outside of Norwich city centre. Our Airbnb was amazing value (there was 8 of us staying and it only cost us just over £40 each for two nights)!

Things to do in Norwich

Elm Hill

This was probably are favourite part of Norwich and it was recommended to us by Rach’s mum. We didn’t do any research so we didn’t know what to expect! It was a super cute Hill with so many beaut independent shops, cafes and pubs!

We of course stopped for a couple of photos and also at the bottom of it happened to spot a vintage store that was selling clothes ridiculously cheap- Annie picked up to coats for just £20!

Gin Temple

We headed to Gin Temple in the evening to enjoy a nice gin beverage! There was a large selection of local gins to choose from which we thought was pretty cool!

We asked for a gin that was similar to Hendricks (as you can’t go wrong) and loved it! One of our friends ordered a pornstar martini and it was soooo delicious!

Norwich Cathedral

We walked past the Cathedral on our way back to our Airbnb but didn’t go inside. It looked absolutely incredible though! We would have loved to have visited for a service especially at Christmas time!

Norwich Lanes

The Norwich lanes are super cute and really lovely to wander around! We popped in and out of some of the shops and just enjoyed our surroundings! There are also a selection of pubs/bars and cafes in the lanes as well!

Shopping

There are so many shops in Norwich both independent and chain shops! It is a great place to visit to do a spot of Christmas shopping. We didn’t actually shop that much as we didn’t want to spend all our time in the shops.

Coffee shops & cafes

If you like spending your time catching up in coffee shops and trying the local coffee then Norwich is definitely the place for you! There are soooo may independent coffee shops around every corner! So many that we have actually written a blog post all about them- you can read it here.

We also visited a delicious sushi restaurant called Ciscoes for lunch which was so so incredible and very kindly gifted to us!

We would definitely recommend a weekend away to Norwich it is super cute and the perfect place to do a bit of Christmas shopping!
