Last weekend we visited Hampstead for the first time and absolutely fell in love! This quaint streets, cute shops and a brass Christmas band! It was super easy to get to as well which was also a bonus.

Annie walked from Finchley Road station as it was only a 15 minute walk and Rach hopped on the northern line. As soon as we arrived in Hampstead we felt like we were outside of London again as it feels very suburban.

We wandered around the streets for most of the day making sure that we headed down all of the cute side streets! We headed to a cute cafe for lunch, we also spotted Ginger and White that looked really tasty and we definitely need to come back and visit here. There was a 20 minute wait for us at peak ‘brunch’ time but when we walked past later on in the day it was a lot quieter!

We particularly loved walking around the ‘Holly Roads’ as they were just so gorgeous and it really does feel like you are in a little oasis!

After lunch we wondered across to Hampstead Heath were you can get a great view of London (although it was quite foggy on the day we visited). Had we of been wearing our walking boots we definitely would have gone on a longer walk of the Heath as it was just stunning.

There are so many cute pubs in Hampstead including the Holly Bush, The Flask & The Horseshoe we did try and get a drink but as you can imagine the pubs were completely full! The Horseshoe was a bit of a craft beer pub and we both agreed our boyfriends would love it. However the interior was so nice and not like other craft beer places we both get dragged to (haha!). We loved the wine glasses they used they looked fab. The Holly Bush, The Flask & King William IV were traditional English pubs which we love.

Other foodie places that we found were Villa Bianca which looked like the cutest little Italian, it had lots of outside seating so somewhere for Summer maybe? We also had fab coffees from Roni’s Bakery, they had such a great selection of bread and pastries. We totally fell in love with this cute little cafe & got an iced latte and an americano and they were both so good! Rach also picked up a croissant as well!

There are a few shops in Hampstead, but we have to say we thought there would have been a couple more independent gift shops! Therefore if you go to Hampstead we suggest you go for a foodie day out rather than to shop!

Overall we would definitely recommend visiting Hampstead for a cute day out. If you want some food then we would definitely recommend booking a table beforehand!
