Four Ways You Can Stay Motivated To Exercise

Most people struggle to keep up with a regular exercise routine! We often think this is because people put too much pressure on themselves to go to the gym or go out for a run etc! Why not switch up your workout and do something you actually enjoy and look forward to doing!

If you enjoy being outside but you don’t fancy running then why not go for a nice long walk? Grab a friend and have a catch up along the way or listen to a new Podcast!

Alter Your Perspective

Often your perspective is everything when it comes to exercise. You need to change your mentality fro couch potato to that of a healthy person. It may sound as though it’s easier said than done, however, it’s not as hard as you think. Rather than sitting on the sofa to watch your favourite tv programme, why not consider using an indoor bike or stepper while you watch it? Or go for a walk with a friend instead of catching up over coffee!

Have A Goal

A lot of people fall at the first hurdle when it comes to exercising regularly. This is often because they don’t have any goals in place They simply say ‘ I need to exercise’ or ‘I need to get fit’, which is great, but you should also set yourself a goal to achieve. Even if it’s something as small as being able to complete a 5k run in 2 months times!

Schedule A Regular Workout Time

The best way to fit exercise into your day is to fit it into your routine! Either do it first thing before work or complete it after work before you head home! If you’re really struggling why not go to classes at studios or do at home videos if you cannot leave the house! Or you could try something like Armoury Coaching Studio and their personal training studio!

Mix It Up And Make It Fun

Naturally, we need change and variety to stay motivated. We also need to have fun, especially when working hard. Try to add variety into your workout routine, make each week different or find a few exercises that you enjoy. Putting together an enjoyable routine for your favourite music is going to work much more enjoyable!

You don’t have to be an athlete in order to look after your body, you just need to find the things that keep you focused.
