Osprey Europe Trillium Bag Review

We were invited to a Press event with Osprey Europe back in September 2017, but unfortunately due to work commitments and working a 9-5 job we couldn’t make the event.  As you can  can imagine we were so gutted that we couldn’t make the event as it but we were extremely grateful when we were told we could still receive one of their Trillium Series Duffel Bags.

Its safe to say that since we received these bags we have been using them every single day WE LOVE THEM and we feel like now is the perfect time to write a review.

The design of the bag is fab and we couldn’t believe how compact they were. When we first received the delivery we were surprised at how small the package was especially as we had seen photos of the bags online.  We soon realised they were fold away bags and immediately thought it was a brilliant concept.

When someone mentions a fold away bag we automatically think of those shopper bags people use when doing their weekly shop but no no no these bags are not flimsy in the slightest in fact they are incredibly durable and amazing quality.

The Trillium comes in five colours; Black, Granite Grey, Sunburst Orange, Truffle Green & Vega Blue. Rachel has the Granite Grey which also has florescent yellow details and Annie has the Truffle Green both of which we love. The Trillium 30 costs £50 which we think is fairly priced especially as the quality is second to none.

The bag has Padded straps and if you extend the strap fully it allows you to carry it as a shoulder bag. If you choose to shorten the straps it turns into a cross body bag. We mostly use it as a shoulder bag!

We particularly love the main zip on the bag as it allows you to fully open the bag up without having to remove everything in the bag, we have all been there when we are trying to find that one thing (usually headphones) and you just cannot find it and end up removing everything from your bag.

We have been taking our Duffel bags to the gym as they are the perfect size to fit our work clothes in and also fit  perfectly into the gym lockers. We also love the fact that there are a number of different pockets allowing us to separate our sweaty gym wear- sorry if TMI but its true!

We have also taken the bag away with us when we have been for weekends away as it is the perfect size for hand luggage. We would also recommend packing it in your hold luggage if you are doing mini trips within a big trip and don’t want to carry a suitcase everywhere you go.

So many people have asked us where we got our gym bag from and we seriously couldn’t recommend the Trillium Duffel enough, it is everything you could want in a gym or weekend away bag.

The Christmas Jumpers we want this festive season

Friday 15th December is Christmas Jumper Day. Christmas Jumper Day raises money for Save the Children and is a great way to raise money for a fantastic cause. If you want to organise your own in your workplace, or within your group of friends you can do so by following this link.

We thought we would pull together a guide for you to help you find that perfect Christmas Jumper. Don’t worry we have a jumper to suit all needs, whether you want that very OUT THERE jumper or a more sophisticated one, we have you sorted!

This one from Topshop is so cute! At the moment we are a sucker for anything pink, and Rach is obsessed with penguins so this jumper is the top of our list! Its only £32, and with a student discount you can save a little extra too!

For those woman who will be pregnant over the festive season we are loving this jumper from Boohoo, the slogan is so quirky. This comes in green and burgundy and we think we love them both!

Make sure you also visit Marks and Spencer’s for your Christmas jumper. This red knitted one looks super comfy and you can even buy a matching one for your , now that’s pretty jokes!!

Oh my gosh, Matalan have the most incredible selection of Christmas Jumpers and it was so hard to pick our favourite, however in typical Annie and Rach style it seems the alcohol themed jumpers were our firm favourites!

Annie’s nickname is Bambi, so we could not feautre this really cute Disney Bambi jumper from H&M. It’s only £17.99 and looks quite light so you won’t get super hot in the office. We often find that with Xmas jumpers we get so sweaty, but this one from H&M looks ideal, plus it’s Disney, whats not to love!

We are loving pom poms at the moment, we love them in summer and are so pleased they are still around for winter too. This pom pom jumper from ASOS is adorable and we think we love it a little too much! At only £28 its would be rude not to right?!

These couples jumpers from Next are adorable – they are so simple but so effective. Now where do we find a boyfriend to buy one for?!!
jumper couple christmas

Okay so this one is a very typical Christmas jumper, going for the fair-isle look and is a bargine £18 from Asda!

We cannot write a Christmas jumper list and not include one that lights up because a light up Christmas jumper is pretty cool! Oh and its also musical too! Better get yourself down to Tesco ASAP because its reduced from £20 to £16!

If we are honest we could go on an on for days sharing Christmas jumpers with you all, as you have probably gathered by now we love Christmas and we sure do love our Jumpers.
Remember that Christmas Jumper Day is for a good cause, and all proceeds go to Save the Children.

Pumpkin Party

It would appear that we have gone a little pumpkin crazy this year, we have been hunting the shelves for all things pumpkin related since about September. Homesense has literally been our saviour we have found so many cool props and food related items in there we just keep going back for more. Honestly you could spend a small fortune in there its crazy how much they have on sale, we cannot imagine what it must be like in America.

It took us a little longer than most to get into the autumn spirit as we were still moarning summer but one weekend we went out and purchased some pumpkins and decided to go on a pumpkin photoshoot lets be honest what else was going to get us in the autumnal mood.

As you would have seen from our previous posts we have made pumpkin pie (first time making it) which we absolutely loved, pumpkin pancakes because who doesn’t love pumpkin shaped pancakes, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Energy Balls which were da bomb and Pumpkin and Rosemary Muffins which tasted bloomin amazing and we will definitely be baking these again. We also opted for some healthy treats including ghostly bananas and spooky organges!

Last year we really decided to embrace all of the holidays we celebrate, last year we really went to town with some of our content but this year we are going to up our game and create lots of autumn/fall content because after all it is one of our favourite seasons and the colours are just amazing, especially with pops of burnt orange.

For our American friends out there please make us jealous and tell us about all the amazing pumpkin related products you can buy! One year we would love to fly to America for Halloween/fall we can imagine it is so much fun!

The Perfect Handbag Snack

snack 1

Snacking should be our middle name, we love to snack snack snack!  We always try and make our snacks as healthy as possible, usually opting for a piece of fruit or a healthy snack bar. We find that snacking helps keeps us going until our next meal and stops us over eating when we come to eating our next meal.

We always have snacks floating around our handbags/rucksacks that we can tucks into when those hunger pains start or boredom kicks in because let’s be honest who doesn’t eat when they are bored.

When we received these funky nut snack pots in the post we were over the moon. They are such a good idea and nothing we have ever seen before, we have of course seen peanut butter and apple slices etc. that you can get from M&S but never snack pots with crackers, banana chips or breadsticks.

snack 2

We have tried four of the snack pots:

Hazel Butter Dark Chocolate with Banana Chips- Vegan, Gluten Free & 261 Calories
We absolutely loved the dark chocolate hazelnut butter it was so delicious and definitely a pot we will be purchasing desperately. it went really well with the banana chips but then again it would have gone well with ANYTHING it was incredible!

Peanut Butter Honey & Sea Salt with Mini Sticks- Vegetarian, Tasty & 185 Calories
If we had to choose this one would probbaly be our least favourite (has to be the one with the least calories in haha). We did really like the honey peanut butter it was quite sweet but we wouldn’t really choose to have it with bread sticks.

Cashew Butter Milk Chocolate Honeycomb & Crostini- Vegetarian, Tasty & 203 Calories
WOW is all we can say this snack pot was sooo dreamy we LOVE honeycomb it is incredible. We have made our own cashew butter but never purchased it before (I know mad) but we definitely will be because it was so creamy and delicious so that’s another one to add to the basket.

Peanut Butter Four Seed with Banana Chips- Vegan, Gluten Free & 244 Calories
We had actually already tried the four seed peanut butter (its a great savoury alternative). We were quite surprised it was being served with banana chips because initially we would have said the bread sticks BUT we were pleasantly surprised when we tucked in.

It’s okay to stand up for yourself!

Recently we were put in a situation where we had to stand up for ourselves. At first we were scared to speak up, we felt intimidated by the group of people that we didn’t know very well. The problem was ruining our weekend and after a quick chat we decided we had every right to speak out as we were not the ones in the wrong.

Stand up 1.png

Standing up for yourself can be really challenging and incredibly scary but once you have done it you will feel a sense of relief and so much better about yourself afterwards. I think people sometimes think that standing up for yourself can make you argumentative but that doesn’t have to be the case, people should respect your opinion.

Stand up 2.png

When we don’t stand up for ourselves we end up feeling frustrated and misunderstood.   We have walked away from so many situations and end up wishing we had dealt with the situation differently and spoken up.

In the last few years we have learnt to stand up for ourselves and one another why should we let people walk over us and think it is okay to be disrespectful. It has taken hard work, perseverance and hundreds of pep talks but we are finally there and we will not be turning back anytime soon.

January Favourites

Well that is the first month of 2017 done and dusted! We have had the most amazing month. Rachel had the trip of a life time exploring Cambodia and Vietnam and Annie completed her first 10 mile trail run.We have had a great time and also had super productive blogging days yay!

We also hosted our first twitter chat last weekend, which was so much fun. We cannot wait to host another one, it was so fast paced and manic but we got the hang of it. Our topic was juggling full time work and the blog its nice to know lots of other bloggers are doing it as well!

You can find our January Favourites below, let us know what you have been loving this month!

Metafit- We have re found our love for metafit. We started back at our metafit class this January and we absolutely love it. Its 30 minutes of HIIT Training and trust us when we say you will be red faced and feeling the burn by the end of the class. We will be writing a full blog post on this soon so watch this space.

Peanut butter Porridge- We have loved putting Peanut butter in our porridge this month, it has been our go to breakfast especially in the cold winter mornings. It makes the porridge so creamy and just bloomin delicious. Once we have cooked the porridge we put a teaspoon (large) into the porridge and stir in well. The peanut butters we have loved this month are Funky Nut Company, Proper Nutty and also the M&S Smooth Peanut butter (it’s not as healthy as the others but tastes SO good).

MUA Makeup- This is a slightly unusual favourite for us as we don’t really experiment or spend much time and money on make-up but one lunch time we were browsing the make-up isles in Superdrug and saw that MUA (the cheap brand in Superdrug) have a Luxe matte lipstick range.  We decided to give it a go and it was literally amazing! The lipstick stayed on our lips ALL DAY! We were so impressed and will definitely be trying more colours!

Instagram Stories- This January decided to start using Instagram Stories, we don’t actually know why we never used them before. We both have our own Snapchat account that we post on but we have never used it for Three Brits. It is safe to say we are absolutely loving them and we will definitely be continuing.

Primark active wear- WOW they have really impressed us with their active wear this January. In December we went into Primark hoping to get some new running tops and the selection was awful we left straight away. This January however, we first noticed their amazing collection over on Instagram (Which by the way everyone should follow its amazing). We headed to the store as soon as we could and picked up so many bits! Its so affordable and actually lasts.

Wonder what February has in store for us, we cannot wait to see!

BLOGMAS Day 11 – Christmas Sleepover

We have always loved girly sleepovers, when we were younger we would have sleepovers almost every weekend. Although our sleepover may be a little different now (we certainly won’t be staying up all night) we still have just as much fun.

This year we decided to have a Christmas themed sleepover. We went to H&M beforehand and picked out some brand new matching pyjamas because what’s a sleepover without brand new Pyjamas? This year we got Disney pyjamas making our Christmas even more magical.

Next up was to choose our Christmas film and of course we chose Elf! If you are reading this and you haven’t yet watched Elf you need go watch it straight away. Will Ferrell stars as Buddy the Elf and it is sure to get you feeling festive.

Whilst watching Elf we also enjoyed some freshly baked mince pies and ginger snap biscuits we had baked earlier on in preparation for our Christmas themed sleepover. We also sipped on hot chocolate and herbal teas from our Santa clause mugs as it was a chilly evening and we needed something to warm us up.

We definitely are showing our age as we were all tucked up in bed ready to sleep by 10:30pm. When we were younger we would have been causing all sorts of havoc, but our alarms were set as we were up early the next day going for a run and cooking  Gingerbread pancakes for breakfast! mmmm so festive!

November Favourites

The months seem to be going quicker and quicker and once again we cannot believe we are already writing our November favourites. This month has been especially busy as we have been planning and writing so many BLOGMAS posts.

See below some of our November favourites that we thought deserved a special mention!

Protein Pancakes- we have been making protein pancakes nearly every weekend this month and it has been great! They are a great refuel after the gym and are incredibly filling as well. We have been using My Protein powder in our pancakes which we absolutely love! We have really enjoyed experimenting with the flavours and so far we have had desiccated coconut (see recipe here), vanilla & Cinnamon (see recipe here). We have a really exciting recipe coming up next month so stay tuned you won’t want to miss it!

Twitter & Twitter Chats- We have always dedicated so much of our time to Instagram and the blog that Twitter took a back seat. It is only recently that we have started using Twitter a lot more and we love it. It’s a lot easier to engage with people on twitter we have joined in on so many twitter chats almost every night of the week. We have learnt so much about the blogging world that we didn’t know about previously! Some great chats to join are; #chattybees #GRLPOWR #prettylittlechat #thegirlgang #lbloggers Chats usually happen in the evening, there’s always chats happening on a Sunday night (GMT) which we love to join as it’s a nice way to end the weekend! There are also chats during the week, we usually join on a Wednesday night. Can you suggest any other chats?

Pinafore dresses- We love that that pinafore dresses are in fashion this season! Once again Primark have a great selection including leather, suede and cord. We have picked up a couple of the leather and cord dresses and have literally lived in them this month. H&M have some lovely denim pinafores that we have put on our Christmas list! We also spied some cute pinafore dresses in Forever 21, including a fab denim one! They would look perfect with a pair of converse during the day or Chelsea boots.

Bobble Hats- Now the winter is getting a lot colder how could we not mention bobble hats? We literally live in hats as soon as the weather starts to get colder! We absolutely love the bobble hats in Primark they always have a great selection and they usually only cost £2- bargain. Marks and Spencer’s also sell bobble hats that are incredibly warm which will be perfect when it gets freezing cold.

Sports Direct- We have been loving sports direct this month, we have purchased lots of new workout clothes to make sure we are ready for our winter runs! We really needed some illumines clothes for when we run in the dark and we were impressed with the selection sports direct had on offer and they were a bargain as well! It’s cheaper to buy online, for example in store they will do 2 for £15 (at £8 each) but online the same items will be £7.50 each, so you don’t need to buy 2!! Although you have to pay for postage (£4.99) if you collect in store you get a £5 voucher to spend in so, so delivery is basically free.

Rimmel 107 Matte Lipstick- We feel it is essential to have a good red lipstick in your make up collection during the winter months and especially December. We were browsing the make up in Superdrug and remembered the Rimmel 107 Kate Moss lipstick we had a few seasons back, it’s a gorgeous deep red colour! The lipstick is matte so it can leave you with dry lips so we wouldn’t advise using if you prefer a moisturising lipstick.

Borough Market – we don’t live in central London, but close enough to visit when we want to! Funnily enough this month we have visited Borough Market twice! Borough Markets is located next to London Bridge and is open daily (except Sundays). From Monday to Wednesday is operates a ‘half’ market so if a bit smaller. This basically means that the food stalls/street food is open for all the office workers. On Thursday to Saturday it’s a full market with lots of stalls to visit. There are so many stalls from fruit and veg, cheese and meat. You can also treat yourself to mulled wine or prosecco or even a hog roast. There’s also a bakery school called Bread Ahead on the edge of the market and they have a stall too with some incredible bread to buy. We reccomend you visit if you have the chance!

What have you been loving this November?
