Lots of people choose to live in SW London (including myself) and I may be biased but it is the best place in London to live. I love being south of the London and I choose to live south of the river too. I enjoy being close to the country but still on the tube line. I have also visited many fitness classes so thought I would share the best ones with you!!
SW4 – Bounce
This class is as you may have guessed a bounce class on a mini trampoline. There are lots of Bounce classes all over the UK and in fact they are now a worldwide company! The class in Clapham is here at the Lambeth Academy on Elm Street in their sports block. The people who go are super friendly and the instructor James is really funny and very enthusiastic, you definitely leave on a high feeling really positive. You are also bouncing on a trampoline for either 1 hour or 45 mins (depending on which class you go to!), so its great cardio!
SW4 – Fitness Fusion
This is the best place to go for a Reformer Pilates class. The small studio has a reformer room and then another studio for yoga/pilates/barre. The instructors are super friendly and really help you (although the lady on reception is a little rude which is a shame!). Reformer Pilates is a class that everyone needs to try, its such a great workout!
SW4 – Oncore
This studio located super close to Clapham Common offers spinning, HIIT, yoga, barre and pilates classes. The studio has been recently extended which is great!
SW12 – Rize Balham
Rize is a small boutique studio with 2 other locations (St Margarets and Queens Park). The Balham Studio is lovely and has a great range of classes, my favourite is the Strike Down class which is a mixture of strength exercises on a powerplate and boxing. Go give it a try I can bet you will love it too!
SW17 – F45 Tooting
F45 is pretty famous chain of fitness classes, and the one at Tooting is fab. There is also a Wandsworth branch and soon to open one in South Wimbledon!
SW19 – BarreCore
Located in Wimbledon Village I have become obsessed with BarreCore, if only I was rich then I would go all the time! Located below Sweaty Betty shop this class is based off ballet moves and leaves you shaking afterwards and feeling super strong. Every class is different and the instructors are lovely. They have other locations in London and I recently visited the one in the Four Seasons on Park Lane and you have to visit! You are working out with the most gorgeous view of London!
SW19 – YZ45 Colliers Wood
There are YZ45 in the country and one happens to be in Colliers Wood (the other London one is in Greenwich!). This is a 45 minute class which is interval training based, you start on a machine and alternate between cardio and weights and then move to the next station. Each visit is totally unique and its a great full body workout. You also wear a special gadget to measure your heart rate so you can track your workout – its fab!
