The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the UK, super pretty villages, gorgeous country walks and the perfect place for a long weekend break to chill out!
The Chapel is located in the small village of North Cerney, 3 miles from Cirencester. North Cerney is really cute, has a teeny primary school and a large pub! The Bathurst Arms pub is a nice walk away from the cottage and ideal for an evening drink!
The Chapel is as you may have guessed, a renovated chapel! As it used to be a chapel is has quite a funky layout, with the kitchen and living room/dining area on the ground floor and then the bedrooms in the basement! There are two double bedrooms down in the basement and a bathroom too. Then there is a mezzanine which has a sofa bed and TV, you access this via the winding staircase!
The cottage is so well equipped and this was a massive bonus for us, tonnes of plates, lots of pans, baking trays etc. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, iron as well. There are also plenty of towels and extra bedding and pillows should you require it.
There is only 1 toilet which is a slight drawback, but you can make it work, the shower is lovely though.
The courtyard out the front is so cute, and the perfect place to chill out on with a lovely table and chair to eat your meals at too! Don’t be put off that it is on a road, the road is so quiet so it doesn’t bother you at all!!
If you are wanting to visit the Cotswolds we cannot recommend this cute place enough – how about a double date weekend break?!!
