We were invited to stay at Point A Hotel in Liverpool Street and we were really excited about our visit. There is something about staying in a hotel in London that we love, it is probably because we don’t often do it because we live in London. We always say that London is the best city in the world so waking up in the city was pretty cool.
Point A Hotels offer affordable, cosy and comfortable hotel rooms right in the heart of the big city. Point A have 7 hotels in London and they also have 2 in Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow).
We arrived at the hotel and we were greeted by the super friendly member of staff on reception and he told us everything we needed to know.
We headed up to our room which was located on the third floor (there is a lift) and we made ourselves at home. The hotel rooms are on the small side (this is stated on the website), but this is so they can operate their hotels efficiently.
The room was very clean and was full of natural lighting, something that is often hard to achieve in a hotel. We loved the fact the wardrobes were hooks on the wall (saving space in the room). The beds were super comfortable, and we slept incredibly well, considering we were in the city it was super quiet, and we hardly heard a peep all night.
We loved the mood lightening in the room, which we could control from our bed instead of having to get out of bed to turn the lights off. There was also a 40 inch smart tv in the room which also made us happy as we got back from our evening meal just in time for Love Island.
The power shower in the bathroom was incredible and the hotel provides you with a towel and shower gel which was ideal.
On our way out that evening we noticed there was a coffee garden which immediately intrigued us…. So, we went to check it out! The coffee garden was super cute and one of our favourite parts about the hotel. There was a table tennis table, outdoor seating and tonnes of beautiful flowers and plants. We took a couple of photos of course and it excited us as it meant we could eat our breakfast alfresco.
Breakfast is served from 7:30AM-11:30AM on a Saturday, which we thought was a great offering especially for those that wanted a Saturday morning lie in. When we arrived at breakfast at around 9:30AM the breakfast buffet was fully stocked, and the staff kept topping up the baked good once they had run out (the croissants were still warm)!
We really were very impressed with the breakfast spread there was so much on offer including; hard boiled eggs, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, cheese, granola, muesli, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and so much more.
We loved the jars filled with fruit- we both opted for a couple of these and had some yoghurt and granola which was also delicious.
You had to order your coffee at the coffee bar, we are not sure if you could go back for seconds but we are sure it wouldn’t have been a problem. We think they had a coffee bar as they also sold coffee to either hotel members that had not opted to pay for breakfast or anyone else that wondered in and fancied a coffee.
We noticed they also had an ironing room at Point A Liverpool St and thought it was a great idea especially if you are staying for business or have an event to attendant.
The hotel WiFi was also really good, there isn’t a password you can just log straight in! It works in both the communal areas and also the bedrooms!
If you are looking for somewhere to stay in London that isn’t going to cost you an arm and a leg then we would highly recommend Point A Hotels! Not only it is reasonably priced it’s also clean, cosy and a very comfortable nights stay!
