It was our first time visiting a lounge on the return journey home, and we couldn’t have been more excited because every time we go away we always seem to get delayed on the return journey! The thought of being able to chill in the executive lounge if we were to get delayed was bliss (thankfully we weren’t delayed but it was nice knowing those super comfy seats were there should we require!!)
We decided to visit the lounge as it wasn’t a very nice day (weather wise) in Wroclaw. So we opted to get to the airport early to enjoy the executive lounge! Costing just £16 pounds per person you really can’t go wrong!
Wroclaw airport is pretty small, well of course it would be the city was super small too! The lounge was located near gates 9-10 and was soooo quiet. There was hardly anyone in there and we basically had the place to ourselves. You can opt to sit at a comfy sofa with a table, a normal table and chairs or in a reclining seat should you wish. We opted for the sofas with a table so we could chill out but also eat our dinner too!
All the food and drink was laid out for you to help yourself and there was lots of variety at this executive lounge!
There was a large selection on nibbles including pretzels, nuts, olives, cheese biscuits and these super cute aeroplane shortbread biscuits! We enjoyed some pretzels and olives of course!
There was pesto pasta and sun-dried tomatoes for the main course which was absolutely delicious and exactly what we wanted. We also enjoyed a side of salad and a couple of gherkins.
We particularly loved the mini sandwiches, sausage rolls and wraps, they were presented really nicely and looked very inviting!
There was a selection of dried fruits and cereals as well that you could enjoy, we didn’t opt for this option though. There was also a bowl of fruit as well (well a bowl of apples)!
You could help yourself to soft drinks from the fridge, including spite, coke, coke zero and fanta orange. There was also still and sparkling water and jugs of fruit juice and a jug of milk. There was a fridge of white wine and the red wine bottles were in stands on the side keeping at room temp. There was also a beer fridge which had polish beer of 3 varieties – blonde, white and dark amber.
There were also lots of spirits to choose from, but the only mixers were the soft drinks in the fridge (no tonic for gin!), but as we noticed in Poland they do enjoy their shots, and there were shot glasses on the side so many these spirits were intended to be shots rather than long drinks?!!!
The dessert in airport lounges are never that great and we never really tuck into any of them! At Wroclaw lounge they had some biscuits and an apple cake.
We really cannot believe how cheap this airport lounge was compared to most other lounges we have been to! £16 per person you really cannot go wrong, especially as you would probably spend that at a cafe anyway!
