If you’re a lover of the outdoors, there are literally endless opportunities for you to go glamping, enjoy the scenery as you go for a run, or explore clear waters whilst you recline on the beach. So, it can sometimes be difficult to choose the perfect place for your exploits, which is why we’ve decided to narrow it down for you by selecting some of the locations we would love to visit for incredible outdoor adventures (guess we better start saving)…
GLAMPING IN BALI
Glamping, as you will probably know is a combination of ‘glamourous’ and ‘camping’. Basically, it’s camping with all of the luxuries you don’t usually get when you’re just plain old camping.
One of the best places to go glamping has to be at the Sandat Glamping Tents in Ubud, Bali. Why? Because the weather is amazing, as are the views, Located in pretty paddy fields, this glamping site looks perfect for quiet relaxation in natural surroundings. There’s a communal swimming pool and a shuttle service to nearby cities, that’s if you can drag yourself away from the amazing massages.
CAMPING IN AUSTRALIA
If you prefer the normal, rougher sort of camping, then before you shop for camping gear, be sure to book a space at the Broken Hill Tourist Park in New South Wales, Why? Because you’ll get the authentic outback experience in this rather rustic location! It looks so incredible!
HIKING IN CHILE
If you’re a lover of active holidays and hiking is your thing (we love hiking) but there is nothing worse than hiking with a backpack that doesn’t fit you properly or is slightly on the old side! Why not treat yourself to a new backpack before heading to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. This location is home to a globally-renowned trail where you will see exotic landscapes, as well as some incredible wildlife. Lay your head at the EcoCamp in Patagonia – the first sustainable dome hotel on the planet, for amazing views of the starry night sky and an experience that you will never forget.
DIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES
If you prefer to spend most of your travel time in the water than on the beach, then you’ll fall in love with the island of Malapascua just like we have. The waters are clear and blue, and you can even swim with thresher sharks wow! An idyllic paradise island in the Philippines, which we have read has incredible exotic marine life and the prettiest coral gardens. We have also been advised to go diving at night as it’s even more magical and exciting.
ROCK CLIMBING IN ENGLAND
If it’s rock climbing that floats your boat, then you don’t have to look any further than England – the Lake District to be Specific. As well as being known for its spectacular and romantic views, there are more than a few challenging mountain climbs to be found in the lake district. We would love to climb the Hardknott Pass and have been advised this is the best place to start!
GLAMPING IN SCOTLAND
It may not be as exciting as some of the above but we are going Glamping in May in Edinburgh and we are so excited. A full blog post of our review will be coming your way soon. We love the idea of Glamping especially when there is a delicious breakfast hamper to wake up to in the morning!
