If you need somewhere to stay in the Cotswolds we cannot recommend the Old Post House Barn enough.
The owner Karen is the loveliest and most welcoming host ever and her cottage is so homely, cosy and gorgeous. We had the best time staying at the Old Post House and its excellent value for money.
It boasts 2 double bedrooms (1 can be made into a twin room if needed) a large open plan kitchen living room and 2 bathrooms.
The cool thing about this cottage is that it is topsy turvy, so the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, you then walk up a gorgeous spiral staircase to the open plan kitchen & living room.
The kitchen is massive and has all that you would want for a self catering kitchen. Our favourite is the fire in the corner of the living room which makes the whole cottage toasty warm. We love open plan kitchen living rooms because it means some people can be in the kitchen and others chilling on the sofa but everyone can still interact – making chill time in the cottage absolultely perfect.
There are 2 bathrooms which both had soap that smelt delicious (haha we really do notice the strangest things, but they make a difference for sure!). They both had very large showers which were extremely powerful we could’ve spent hours in them!
In the summer you also have access to a small table and chairs opposite the cottage which will be perfect to chill at on a summers evening with a book and glass of wine.
There are lots of things to do nearby the cottage including lots of walks, a visit to Broadway or Cheltenham and not to mention the pub which is opposite the cottage serving delicious food and a large variety of gins!
