We saw on Instagram and also lots of florists selling pumpkin flower pots. Some people were charging £35 for one so we thought we would try and make our own….. but cheaper!
You will need:
- 1 pumpkin – 99p Aldi
- 2-3 bunches of flowers – average £1.99 per bunch in Aldi
- Halloween sticks – £1.49 for 3 in Aldi
- Fake leaves – £1.99 from The Range
- Empty can (washed!) – baked beans etc
Firstly cut a circle in the top of your pumpkin so you can take the inside out.

Once the top of off scoop out the insides, including all the seeds!

To make your pumpkin last longer apparently bleach or oil work. We didn’t want to use bleach as we thought it was a little dangerous (also if you put the pumpkin in the garden for wildlife, once Halloween is over, to eat the bleach will kill them), so we used a brush & brushed sunflower oil on the inside and around the edge at the top.
Take your cleaned beans can and put a little bit of water in, add the flower food if your flowers came with a little sachet, and place inside your pumpkin.
Now, get arranging! Pick the flowers you like, cut them to size and place in the can.

At the end add the Halloween sticks and voila!!
