Things to know before visiting Australia

Australia is such a beautiful country and if it isn’t on your bucket list then it should be! I (Rach) visited a couple of years back and had the most amazing time… so if it isn’t add Australia to your travel bucket list! There is so much to see in Australia that we thought we would write a post on things that you might want to know before visiting!

You will need A Visa

No matter how long you plan to stay in Australia, most visitors will need to obtain a Visa. There are a few different types of Visa available for Australia, depending on whether you are visiting to work, study, or just as a tourist. Don’t forget to also check your passport to check that you have enough months left on it!

The tourist visa is probably the most popular kind of visa for entering Australia and you can apply for this online. Electronic visas usually only take a few days to process, but give yourself plenty of time, just in case. If you are getting a work visa then make sure you also give yourself plenty of time to apply for it!

Plan your trip- Australia is huge!

Unless you’re going to spend several months travelling around Australia, then you aren’t going to see it all. Decide how you are going to get around, are you going to get a coach, hire a camper van or you could even rent a car from burswoodcarrentals.com.au.

We love planning our trips away and we would definitely recommend making a list and planning an itinerary of the things and places you want to see that way you can prioritise them so you can see the things you want to see during your visit.

Save enough spending money

As you have probably heard before Australia is not cheap! Therefore make sure you have enough spending money to really get the most out of your trip! Before you go why don’t you budget how much you plan on spending at each destination, have a look online at how much excursions cost and menus etc!
