Now with lots of time on our hands, why not make your own pizzas from scratch, including the dough! It’s not as hard as you think and really enjoyable too! You can let all your anger out on that dough!

Then you can get creative with the toppings, let us know what you put on your pizza 🙂

Ingredients for the dough

  • 650g ’00 flour or strong white flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 7g sachet dried easy-blend yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 25ml olive oil
  • 50ml warm milk (we warmed in the microwave)
  • 325ml warm water (from the kettle that has recently been boiled)

Method

  1. Mix the flour, salt & yeast together in a large bowl. Make a well and stir in the olive oil and milk. Gradually add the water, mixing to form a soft dough.
  2. Tip the dough out on to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Transfer back to the bowl, cover with a damp tea towel and leave to rise for about 2 hours, until doubled in size.
  3. When the dough has risen, knock it back or as we like to call it throw it onto the work surface numerous times. Then knead again until smooth, roll into a ball and set aside for 30 minutes to 1 hour until risen again.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
  5. Divide the dough into balls and roll each out on a lightly floured work surface
  6. Top with passata
  7. Decorate as you please
  8. Cook for about 10 minutes

We also made a mini garlic bread for the side, made a mini pizza and topped with garlic butter – yum!!
