Hotels we are dreaming of visiting

We love love love visiting new places and exploring new areas, we always try and have some things booked in the diary to look forward to! Sadly our latest trip to Lisbon was cancelled due to Covid-19, we were really looking forward to visiting Lisbon as it has been on our bucket list for quite some time now but we will visit once this pandemic is over!

Since we have a lot more time on our hands, we have used this time to research hotels we want to visit in the UK as soon as everything is back to normal.

The Plough Inn at Cold Aston

We love visiting new parts of the Cotswolds as it is such a beautiful part of the UK. This hotel is nestled in Cold Aston, which is a small Cotswold village between Cheltenham and Bourton-on-the-water. This hotel grabbed our attention as it is a proper country pub with 3 rooms above the pub that have been renovated and decorated in a way that preserves the character of the grade II listed building.

The Plough Inn is also proud to support local farmers and they also have an ever-changing season menu. They serve classic pub food as well as premium dishes. The Smoked Beef and Horseradish Pie really caught our eye it sounds so delicious.

They have also opened up a village shops whilst we are in lockdown which we think is just incredible! This pub and country Inn sounds like a true hidden gem right in the heart of the Cotswolds and we would absolutely love to visit!

The Pheasant Hotel, Harome

The Pheasant Hotel is located in North Yorkshire, another stunning part of the U.K! This hotel over looks a duck pond in the picturesque village of Harome. The Pheasant has 16 beautifully decorated rooms each of which have been decorated by the co-owner who has a keen eye for interior detail (we swooned over the bedrooms). Twelve of the sixteen bedrooms are located in the main hotel building overlooking the courtyard or duckpond.

The Pheasant Hotel is home to Chef/Director Peter Neville, who has a growing reputation for offering the best in local and seasonal dishes. The restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents throughout the day. We had a little look at their spring menu and it everyone on the menu sounds delicious!

They are currently offering ‘Phezeroo’ which is there very own delivery and takeout service! You can see an example of what they offer below and we think that is such a great idea!

The Stair Arms, Pathhead

The Stair Arms is a small family owned and managed hotel by the Ramsay family. They promise all guests a warm Scottish welcome to their newly refurbished modern and chic hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in the Midlothian countryside & is just 10 minutes from Edinburgh city park ‘n’ ride.

They also offer a comfortable and cosy restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious freshly cooked meal. In the colder months you can enjoy your meal by their log fire and in the warmer months they have a large garden and outside seating area. The food sounds absolutely delicious, the macaroni cheese and Stair Arms Steak and Ale Pie caught out eyes!

This would be the perfect place to stay if you fancy a trip to Scotland and maybe want to spend a day or 2 in Edinburgh city centre.

We are honestly so excited to visit new hotels when are are out of lockdown and it is safe to do so! We love it and we are really missing it!
